I actually think these are pretty cool looking! Thanks for the pic. I'm going to run out to both Wal Marts and Target in my area to see what I can find. So far I have been getting two of each figure (one for moc and one for my loose collection). Not sure whether to do that with these or just have a set to open up and have some fun?

He was talking about Baxter and Snakeweed, not the ooze turtles.

I really want some good shots of these so I can see what all was "changed" paint wise....real shame.

To me it looks like Mikey takes the smallest hit. Donnie has some yellow details on his shirt that are missing.

Indeed. I just hope they aren't just solid lumps of unpainted plastic.

To quote Vaugh Michael on Rose's FB page..."And the happymeal quality has returned!"

I can't decide. I thought about getting JUST the basic line this time around because of lack of space, hard to keep track of, other interest. It will be put in a box or the top of a closet and sit. Thoughts? What are you all doing?

I'm just focusing on the basic line (and not even all of those figures) I'm just not big on the idea of the Turtles in various outfits and such (Unless they do Trenchcoat versions )

So far out of the mutagen and the mutagen tossing figures, I'm more excited for some of the mutagen (First chance I get I'm tossing some inside my old Mutagen Man figure )

I feel this compulsion to get all of the figures. I have an entire set of the second wave ('03 cartoon era) MIP and about three dozen from wave 1. I foolishly opened all my toys until I was 12 and keeping buying toys but keep them in the package. This compulsion is telling me to buy them before their gone and I regret it. My interest is specific this time,Classics and basic line Nick. Though the other part of me is save up for Baxter Stockman and Snakeweed. I'm torn.

They brought back the Ooze.

For vintage TMNT figure fans, this might invigorate some of the fun with some of the toys from 20+ years ago that had ooze as a gimmick.

whip out ole muck man and give him a go. Bring out the technodrome and let hijinks ensue... given that the new blue ooze is made of the same kind of stuff that the green ooze from the vintage line was.

I'm not a big collector of the new toys so maybe its why I'm not too upset about the variants. But really I saw it coming. Every TMNT toy line from the past had it, so I just condition myself for that kind of thing. Lets hope that in the future, they have turtle figures with certain kinds of gimmicks that allow them to pull off what ever the mechanism is that would leave you with a basic Ninja turtle with an updated sculpt. But you know they're going to have toy gimmicks for the children. I don't think these newer turtle variants look that bad for what they are. But eh who wants ninja turtle wearing overalls...well some people may get a kick out of it...

Baxter and Snakeweed are apart of the basic nick line.
