I knoooow, it's going to be big, man! I was also thinking about that. The whole 'biological daughter' vs 'Adopted sons' deal. The turtles might even feel sort of threatened by the new development, considering that Splinter's obviously told them a lot about his old life. Splinter even keeps the picture of his wife and Miwa in the dojo. It's not something he's let go of just yet and though I really doubt Splinter would love them any less, they are teenagers and they're probably not going to approach the situation with much logic. They'd probably be worried that he'd just decide that's that and ditch them or something. In terms of the trust issue, Raph, Donnie and Mikey are going to be the hardest to win over, since Leo seems to think she's got some good in her (plus that little crush), and Splinter's judgement might get clouded once he finds out the truth. Maybe.... hard to tell with Splinter >_>

And you do know, you being all frustrated over Shredder sitting there and wanting him to come out is a good thing right?
It means you are invested, and the show has succeeded in teasing you. Again yeah the other show had quicker events, but there wasn't so much build up.
That this show is getting under peoples skin and they are sitting saying. "Come-on! cooome on! I want to see them in action!" .. is actually a good thing, the show is very much teasing us right now, they are slowly but surely building up, and some-times the wait time is actually more memorable than the actual event.


And for Splinter.. yeah, that's another thing about this show taking its time and letting the character breath. We have all-ready established that this Splinter are capable of mistakes to, like Panick in the Sewers.. he is clever and analytical, but he makes mistake. And I am pretty sure he is going to make at least one, some kind of a mistake, when Karai gets to be involved.
What it is I don't know yet, if it's a mistake towards her because she is a genuine threat to his new family, or a mistake towards the turtles not explaining the situation probably.. I don't know, could go either way really, and both are very human mistakes.

And well, of cause he hasn't let go of the love of his life and his first child that died in a fire. No one would have.
