Baxter Stockman is WAY better than Leatherhead. Maybe his sculpt isn't as nice, but he's pretty much in scale, towers over the turtles (as he should), and has a lot more articulation than Leatherhead. Baxter will actually be able to be posed while Leatherhead is pretty much stuck in a hunched position. I know you're just saying that because you love Leatherhead (and there's nothing wrong with that!).

Probably because their powers were birthed from the mutagen and they have no clear allegiance with the Foot.

Lol sorry, I got so excited to see reviews of these figures that I must've missed it

But, they still have no clear alliance with the Kraang either, they're really stand alone villains. This is why I think they should just have "Good" and "Evil" instead of these teams, but oh well.

Well, you're right I am biased.

I would have loved for LH to be in scale, but his sculpt is way too good for me to be disappointed. Baxter would have scored more points with me if it wasn't for his "3D turnaround" face.

As for articulation.. Well, he can raise his arms threateningly!

My "Ultimate TMNT collectible" would be a deluxe collectors edition Leatherhead. Heck, all they would have to do is enlarge this sculpt, add more joints, and paint more details. Pupils would be nice too.

Baxter and Snakeweed look great. Leatherhead looks good but his size and lack of an articulated jaw really kill the figure. I still will be getting him though.

If he had articulated knees where he could stand up taller that would help with his size too.

Yeah but we clearly witnessed how Snakeweed, a bizarrely obscure character actually topped off both Baxter and Leatherhead two very known characters. This is proof that new characters have the potential and can even exceed original characters and Snakeweed hands down blew both of them out of the competition. I'm amazed how far they went for their first mutant villain, most first villains in most shows never get this much respect, but this guy gets practically everything from articulation to scale. The others are okay too, they just sadly had more problems that stood out more than Snakeweed which was little to nothing as Dan barely complained about Snakeweed.

So I finally got to see the review video uninterrupted. I see exactly what you mean. It would almost be better to display him with the Lego figures. He is tiny!
(He kinda works with Mikey I guess.)

As for the eyes, I guess you're right. Dan said the eyes were yellow. Guess I was just seeing things.

Regardless of his flaws, I can't wait to own my own Leatherhead.

Despite the downsides it is still a great looking figure and I can't wait to get it! All 3 of them actually

Everyone it looks like the guys are coming out even sooner than we expected. A friend of mine told me that someone on rangerboard found Snakeweed and Leatherhead at a Target today so it looks like we will be seeing them maybe even next week. Good luck to everyone and I wish that everyone will be satisfied with their bounties.

I still can't believe that a new character just dominated two original characters that have been iconic characters for years since the vintage era and comics. Snakeweed is a true example of how an underrated underdog or underplant can even beat two iconic characters in the TMNT continuity. The competition was tough, but with all my research on them, my hypothesis was accurate with some mistakes like how his back tendrils weren't articulated, but even then he still was the winner of this wave. This is the reason people shouldn't hate new characters and that they should be welcomed in the turtles' universe after all in the beginning everyone starts as newcomers.

FWIW, there was a snakeweed sold in Tulsa, OK target (21st & Yale) yesterday. A guy I know posted about it....jealous

I'm happy for you ShredderX633! Snakeweed is an awesome character, and I'm happy that his toy debut not only blew you away, but gave the character a solid toy launch!

I hope people like Leatherhead.. Sure his figure is missing a few things, but as a figure by himself he looks great! I just hope poor reception of his figure doesn't affect his reputation as a character.
