I don't think Ralph would be that unlikely such as Bart or Goku, since he's a "video game character" and he made a guest appearance as a racer in Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed.

The whole point of SSB is supposed to be a love letter to Nintendo for the most part. Putting in a forgettable character from a forgettable movie cheapens the whole thing and puts it in the same league with garbage like Playstation All-Stars.

If they are going to do Toon Link again, I would like to see him evolve a bit more. Wind Waker's Link had plenty of his own gadgets, moves, etc without having to basically be Brawl's version of Melee's Young Link, who was already a clone of Adult Link.

Ridley was actually one of the most requested characters for Brawl, but Sakurai said he was "too big" to be playable.

Which is idiotic, since Ridley can be made the same size as Charizard and there would be no difference. Charizard is supposed to be huge yet he isn't...none of the Smash characters are in scale.

Aren't Charizards supposed to be under 6 feet tall? How is that huge?

Ridley is actually supposed to be gigantic. I'd would be neat to see him in the game, but he'd have to be shrunk a considerable amount. Completely unlike everyone else in the game.

Mega Man is already in there. Why would you need more? This isn't a game about guest characters. It's about the history of Nintendo. The line needs to be drawn.

Can we mention someone/something that makes sense? Like which Fire Emblem character(s) get in this round? Is Marth or Ike the one to go? Both of them? Is Chrom the obvious addition?

Does someone from Golden Sun finally get in? What about something from Nintendo's smaller titles like HarmoKnight? What about off-the-wall stuff like Captain Rainbow or Chibi-Robo? Does Nintendo's relationship with Namco now bring in characters from Tales of Symphonia, or Baten Kaitos? Speaking of RPG's, what about a character from Xenoblade or the forthcoming X from Monolithsoft?

Do existing franchises get more/fewer characters? Do they finally get rid of the boring Star Fox clones? Does Ganondorf finally get his own unique move set? Do they scale back the Pokemon characters, or do they simply swap Lucario out for the new Pokemon of the moment and move PKMN Trainer to G/S era starters and call it a day?

Or, we could just keep talking about which bad characters from non-Nintendo franchises should be in the game.

Little Mac is almost obviously going to be playable. There's already a boxing stage match and Punchout for Wii was a great remake.
