I love that intro, Casey looks creepy and awesome at the same time. Can someone screencap Casey from the intro? Metalhead moving on his own now? Is he sentient? That mutation scene was pretty awesome. Wow poor Mr. O'Neil, dude can't catch a break. Now Shredder wants to expand his army, guess that means Tiger Claw. That ending!!

Great episode! Would've been nice to have a two parter, but still. About time April's showing some emotion...I wonder how long she'll stay mad at the guys. Maybe that's how she gets involved with Casey! This season is gonna be a lot of fun

The next episode doesn't look all that interesting though, I have to say.

great episode at times it was kinda quick but overall a good start for season 2,also my heart was racing a bit when april was pissed at the guy's for mutating his dad really emotional scene also i liked the whole fight with the bio-kraang (forgot it's name calling it bio-kraang for now) was awesome also did leo stabbed him if he did then dang.

It wasn't just the end of the acts that were scary; the Halloween-themed promos that followed 'em kept the scare factor going. Easily the darkest episode of the series so far, not just due to all the Mutagen being released and Kirby, but also April at the end of the episode losing her loyalty to the Turtles; something that has never happened before when an episode/issue ends. This is setting up to be the "stop and control the mutants" season that makes arcs like H.A.V.O.C. seem lighthearted in comparison, with Shredder/the Foot still a threat in addition. Add this to the "bad guys win" episodes. Despite that, there was still room for some comic relief, such as Michelagelo's "Turflytle" costume complete with his favorite things he enjoys along with the "Buzz buzz" joke, and Donatello's rocket he constructed seemed well animated when you can dream about how far it would launch when it just ends up on Kraang's ship. It seems like that the Kraang secretly abandoned the Technodrome and made a new ship which increases the speculation about what happened between seasons. Nice to see Mutagen Man and Metalhead as well! Nice way to kick off Season 2 Nick!

Overall: 9/10

Awesome start to the season! a lot of fast paced action and suspense! I love how Kirby's mutation was done with the slow-motion morphing shot. Even though he is wild, it was cool to see that he recognized April. Poor April... I guess she'll have to stay with her aunt again...

I loved the new additions to the intro, including Casey on the rooftop, Karai's reflection, and even Newtralizer!

So it turns out the ape kraang AKA Biotroid is indeed that new figure we will be getting.

Wingnut reference = AWESOME!!!

I loved the Mutagen Tracker, especially the Gameboy chime it makes when you turn it on.

I'm really hyped for the rest of this season, can't wait to see what happens with that mutant squirrel!

Due to the time difference, I've been waiting for a few hours to see what everyone stateside thought of the episode. I've yet to actually watch and may not do so for a few days but the spoilers are intense.

Awesome!

The new intro is great

Loved the teaser of mutagen man.

The fight scene with the kraang was incredible (even Donnie again using his naginata for something other than fighting.

Kirby's mutation was an amazing scene, and to top it off april finally looked trained in using her tessen.

The ending with april getting mad is awesome, and i like how they left it unresolved. I imagine she will be mad at them for awhile, and during that she will meet casey. I also believe mutagen man will attack april because hes trying to help donnie (theres an image somewhere showing mutagen man holding up a picture of april and donnie)

Everything was very dramatic in this episode and its a great way to start off this season

Well, I guess it wasn't an hour like it was showing on the guide listing... what's episode 2 gonna be? The Squirrel ep is show as ep 3...

There was an ungodly amount of commercials in this premiere - I know it's a kids channel, but most of the first ten minutes were the boys being all cocky and up on themselves...

Poor Kirby... he's the second decent human that's been ruined by the ooze. I'm sure April will be back and friends with them in a couple of episodes.

I really enjoyed the first episode of season 2. It felt more like a prologue to me. You get the sense that the writers were thinking Nick might air the next episode on the same day with that slight cliffhanger at the end involving the squirrelinoid. I think that's the only thing that bugged me about this first episode. I wanted another one.

I liked the fact that the turtles goofed up in this one. They are teens after all, and they've been on this month long pyric victory high. Naturally they're gonna get a little lazy and arrogant. I liked April's reaction at the end of the episode. Sets things up for Casey's debut, I think.

And yes, poor Kirby! Of course we all probably had that bit spoiled for us due to figure info leaks, but it was still pretty horrific. Nice to see Tim featured again if only for a few seconds. And did anyone else catch that one brief scene of a container being nabbed by-- well I wasn't sure who it was. My fiancé didn't get a good enough look. I wanna say it wasn't too long after Kirby's mutation.

This is shaping up to be a great season. I feel that the episode was a pretty strong start. The writers don't want to reveal all the good stuff right away and I don't mind waiting. Nice to see more involvement with the mutagen. It interests the scifi nut in me. I could have done with a bit more Shredder screen time though.

It was Donatello. He grabbed one half of the mutagen canister that mutated Kirby.

Seeing it on TV now, the CG looks WAY more fluid compared to the early Season 1 episodes.

Nice to see them be able to open up on the budget for the show.

Oh, so the squirrel ep isn't next Saturday then? Most TV guide sites already have that one scheduled for next weekend but I guess they'll switch it around. I just hope it's in chronological order since the last scene we saw in this one involved the squirrel. Yeah, entirely too many commercials between acts 1 and 2 in my neck of the woods at least. I swear it was like 4 mins long! Or that could have had something to do with my eagerness to get on with the show.
