Maybe Nickelodeon will improve him like they did with Dogpound.
After all he did get destroyed in this episode.
But alas, somethings are just out of our control.

Has anyone noticed that Mikey is standing up to Raph a lot more? Since Mikey called Raph a punk in Operation: Breakout, Mikey has been showing his anger a lot more.

Also, random side note: I loved Jason Bigg's delivery of the line, "Mexican. Pizza." Too awesome.

I kinda half expecting her to lose a eye like Baxter Stockman in the 2k3 series.
Although I know that probably won't happen. Actually, It would be really funny if Shredder grounded Karai.

Very cool episode. Loved the new Chrome Dome, but I think hearing "Tromatown" really made this episode for me. If I could get a Toxic Crusaders appearance on this show somehow I swear I'll never ask for anything again

Wow, great episode!

Things I liked:
-April putting up a scrap, falling on her butt every time, but getting back up after every fall. Heck, she even fought beside Leo at the end, helping him take down Karai! She should do team exercizes with them from now on!
-I really enjoyed Casey this time. He didn't come across like a bad boy, just confident and rough around the edges. I loved him giving friendship advice to April. He was just so . . . real. He's a wild child but he talks like he has experience, like he's been around the block. His advice even ended up pushing April and the turtles together, rather than tearing them apart. And, of course, he just looked so cool in that hockey uniform!
-That April apologized to them at the end. It takes a lot of guts to apologize.
-Donnie fighting Karai.
-Leo's Mexican Pizza line. And he must really like the Shellraiser to wax it. It's made of junk. Is it worth waxing? <~<!!!

Things I didn't like:
-I don't know why but I didn't enjoy Mikey as much this episode. I guess it's because we just had a Mikey episode and I was craving more Leo and Raph. I was expecting Leo to address Karai even.
-I had mixed feelings with April kissing Donnie. For one, I spazzed just as much as Donnie did. I was so happy for him. But it was also kind of sad and confusing too. Is April leading him on? Did she just kiss him and not think anything of it? Does she actually kind of like him? How is this show going to deal with a human/non human relationship if they do go through with it? How about Casey? Will Donnie think too much of it? I can't help but think that Donnie and April are setting themselves up for a pretty big fall. I keep wincing at the thought of a heartbroken Donnie. His sad face is just too sadorable!

Questions:
-Now that the Shredder has threatened Karai twice about defying his orders, the writers are really going to have to address it. Will her usefulness as a pawn protect her or will Shredder cash in on his tyke bomb and use her to draw out Splinter?
-It should be clear to April that her life isn't going to return to normal anytime soon. How is she still going to go to school while being wanted alive by the Kraang and wanted dead by Shredder's gang? Will Casey serve as secondary protection at school from now on?

Really liked Mikey in this episode. He's definitely maturing, and him grabbing the sword and running at chrome dome was sweet and something that we haven't seen from him.

Casey was great. He's not bright, but he's not an idiot. He gave April advice and in a fight was able to survive on his own. Really liked the scene of April going back to the ice rink and just finding Casey with all the destroyed bots.

Aprils fighting was exciting, and they showed it in a way that's believable. She got knocked down numerous times, but remained confident ("you talk too much") and got some hits in. I really like the tessen.

Karai seemed to have a bad time, and seems a little out of control. Shredder yells at her for disobeying him, she turns around and does it again, to what I think was to settle a personal dislike of April. Then she is taken down by Donnie, loses control of chrome dome, and is then re taken down by Leo. She's definitely not in the best state right now.

Karai had planned on capturing at least one of the Turtles knowing the others would try to save him. That way she could capture the others when they came to save them.

Her hope was that Splinter would come looking for them so she could gleefully and slaughter his sons in front of him. After Leo warned her that he would kill her if she went after any of his brothers or his sensei.

She decided to go after April because the Turtles obviously have some sort of relationship with her. And Donnie arriving to protect her may actually add an unforeseen ace up her sleeve.

I think she may have suspected and was banking on the assumption that one of the Turtles might have more then just friendship feelings with April. So it's possible that she was hoping that by taking someone precious from the Turtles, and whoever had a crush on April would initiate a domino effect of discord in their happy family destroying them from with in. Letting the grief and anger they feel consume them alive much like the grief and anger she feels over her mother's death festers in her heart.

As for the Kraang, as much as the Foot Clan are allied with the Kraang for their own purposes. Karai still knows the Kraang are just as much a threat as they are an ally. And they do want April involved in some manner in their invasion plans. So by destroying April she thinks she's killing two birds with one stone. Destroying Splinter and his disciples, and any plans the Kraang have on invading earth.

Pretty solid episode. I was kinda hoping for a more extended Donnie vs. Karai battle as I'd like to see the other guys take her on by themselves. I have mixed feelings on Chrome Dome. On one hand I think it was a good way to work him into the story, but it was odd for them to not give him a different design or at very least let Mikey state how similar he looked to Bradford.

On a side note (maybe I am just slow) but this was the first time I ever noticed Casey Jones hiding in the opening sequence during the theme song.

I really liked the shadow puppet diversion. It gave Mikey a chance to be useful while still being Mikey.

Good episode, certainly more enjoyable than the previous S2 episodes (except for maybe the Shellacne one). It was nice to learn some of Casey's backstory even if it wasn't very much. I can imagine a lot of AprilXDonnie fans seething with rage over all the AprilXCasey undertones in this episode.

As for why Chrome Dome looks like Rad Brad, my guess is that it was designed after the Elite Foot ninja outfit of this series. I like the beam katana, it's like the one used by Yoshimitsu in Tekken (specifically Tekken 3).

Wow this has to be my favourite episode of this season so far, so much action.

The fight scenes were awesome,
April Vs Karai kicked ass as did Donnie vs Karai,
Mikey destroying Chrome Dome using it's own sword, he's defently growing up
Laughed at Mikey's shadow puppet's diversion,
Loving Casey even more, I loved that they kept on going back to his scene killing more Ninja Bots. It felt like Casey was already part of the team even though he hasn't met the turtles yet.

Gotta say, out of all the ways for April to begin reflecting on her behavior towards the Turtles, not once did I expect Jones to be the one to set it in motion.

I'm probably one of the few fans who justified her anger towards the turtles. Sure, it sucked. But shook the status quo, took the Turtles down a road they've never faced which lead to some nice character development from everyone and even brought Casey in to the scene.

... And gotta say, the kid's got some mad skills seeing him tear those robots down, slapping their heads into the goals, and just tearing through them like he's a beast out of hell. "This shows for babies," "They ruined Casey," I couldn't take that stuff seriously to begin with- now... it's just a buzz in my ear that pops up now and again.

So, this is... the second time Karai's personally attacked team green because "Splinter killed her mother," and all that.

I'm wondering just how far she'll go fueled by Shredder's lies... go so far to the point where the Turtles or April won't help or even listen to her. Say... successfully hands Splinter over to Shredder, "Thanks Karai, oh hey- He's totally your dad! LOL"

Karai seems to dislike April more then the turtles since the beginning but they haven't really explained why. Also Karai knows that the Krang want April so why did she think they would let her get killed by there creation. But also why haven't krang tried to go after her before know as well.

They haven't shown April's psychic abilities at all this season, so I am a little disappointed with that. I really wish they would show more of that like they did last season.

Just saw the commercial with Mikey and Slash. I was expecting Slash to be closer to Leatherhead/Dogpound size but he was only a little taller than Mikey...definitely wider though. Really can't wait to see this episode. I hope Slash gets his psycho Sai at some point.

I hope he'll get some Purple Dragons or other street thugs to take down too. I'm a huge fan of science fiction aspects in TMNT, but there is also need for the more "down to Earth" stories. I also hope the Turtle Farm will appear soon.
