No. You're just desperately hoping everyone is lying and the real Japanese Shredder steps out of the shadows.

Batman Begins was good example, but anyone that watched or read anything about Batman knew that Ducard was Rahs. I mean he looks just like him from the start and I was more confused when he didn't call himself Rahs from the start.

Iron Man 3 was a bad example cause he looked like the Mandarin but was a joke... and no 'real' Mandarin ever stepped out. Killian did not count.

I'm still trying to guess what he is talking about when he says it's by no chance he knows the Turtles.

Will the movie look good? Of that, I am almost absolutely positive it will... I would even go so far as to bet that the Turtles themselves will probably be pretty amazing and life-like looking.

The problem is the script and "vision." It's dogsh*t... and we all know you can't polish a turd.

No, I'm not desperately hoping anything. How do you know for sure that Eric Sachs/Shredder will be the main villain? Have you read the final script? We don't know who the main villain is at this point. Could be Sachs/Shredder, could be Karai, could be Krang. We don't know.

Well, Killian did count. He evens says "I am the Mandarin!". However, Ben Kingsley confirmed that he was involved in some filming with Marvel (possibly a one shot) a little while ago. People are speculating that Marvel are going to try to retcon the Mandarin twist.

My friend plays one of Shredders bodyguard when April interviews him at a political/charity event. It's just Shredder/Sachs. They aren't going to complicate it any further.

I doubt a guy that is playing a bodyguard has seen the full script. The production team would try their hardest not to allow people with small roles\cameos to know major plot points\twists.

All I can do is say "you'll see"

Holding out hope for Saki is setting yourself up for a huge disappointment.

This is a whole new Shredder.

If it's just Shredder/Sachs than who the heck is Minae Noji playing?

I'm talking about the name not being Oroku Saki.

I dunno, if not an outright flashback I would bet at least within the context of throwaway dialogue/exposition it's mentioned that Oroku Saki was either a previous reincarnation, someone he took the place of, etc. to try and placate guys like us. Unfortunately, it's not enough and they should know that.

Karai. Well established now.

The scuttlebutt is that it may give rise to the emergence of a third, "true" Mandarin who steps forward, unhappy with Killian and Trevor's manipulation of his good name. Who goes on to appear in... who knows. Maybe Agents of SHIELD. Maybe a future Avengers movie.

I think it'll be the Marvel One-Shot video included in the Thor: Dark World Blu ray.

In Iron Man circles, the term "Killian's Outburst" about being the Mandarin is flung around synonymously with classics like "Jumped the Shark" and neo-classics like "Nuked the Fridge".

What they did with Iron Man 3 was disgusting, IMO.

I'm sure Shredder is gonna be the main villain, or at least the version they chose to run with here. There should be zero doubt. The main reason everyone is so stubborn and acting like 'we don't know who the main villain' is because they can't wrap their minds around how horribly he was miscast. Of course we know who the main villain is, we just don't want to accept it cause they really ****ed it up.

The faster you accept that this Eric Sachs guy is this movie's version of the Shredder.... the less it will hurt when you see it on screen.

I know we're all getting upset that Shredder was cast as a caucasian male in this film, and I'm upset too. Even though I like William Fichtner as an actor, I think that the worst casting in this film is Danny Woodburn as Splinter.

I guess we will see. I just don't think a low level paid extra is going to learn the intricacies of the characters from filming one scene with them.

Yeah, it makes sense with Trevor mentioning his having to get plastic surgery. Although, my hopes are dampened, reading this - “One thing I know for sure: nobody's going to be apologizing for the Mandarin twist any time soon.” - Drew Pearce http://www.blastr.com/2013-11-5/ben-...arvel-one-shot

True, but he was set with the guy... and who says he only has one scene with them? He might fight the Turtles too. I'm sure if there was a 'real villain', he would have walked past him or her a few times while on set.

I really hope that what he is saying is somewhat true and not just a bunch of BS to convince the angry mob.
