I figured that the reason April was being so hard on Irma was because of Irma herself. Irma was the one who didn't want to go off of her diet, so April was helping her by reminding her of that.

HEY guys, Lenny D. here. Besides height and weight, not to mention her obvious occupation at channel 6 and obsession with "getting the scoop", can anyone guess at her BUST size? I'm not trying to be pervish, but honestly, has anyone EVER even tryed to guess and how a 5' 7-8" woman has such a big bust at her age? If I were a bettin' man(which I am NOT) I would guess she is a C going on a D cup. How bout ya'll? About how big in cup size would you people guess?

Interesting to see this thread again, especially since I just got done discussing the way April was drawn in the latest issue of the IDW comic. The current artist is drawing April with a curvier figure.

It's kind of getting me thinking, there are so many different versions of April over the years, why not one that's plus sized? They tried it out with Invincible's girlfriend in that comic, and it was interesting to see a character with a different body type than the usual superheroine.

I kind of hate the stats that are listed in most RPG handbooks because they don't make sense. If April really weighed 115 at that height and age, she would be wearing size 2 (extra small) clothes and be approaching anorexia.

If you asked me to guess April's stats just by looking at the OT, I would have pegged her as 5'7 and somewhere around 140 lbs (size 8, medium.) A 115 pound adult woman at that height is a dangerous and unrealistic goal for most people and would require starvation diets and extreme exercise regimens. Please don't encourage these 'stats' they are quite harmful.

HI, again. um, yes I did just ask about the 1987 April Harriet O'Neil's bust. She seems to be the only one of the april's that seems to be of that (ahem) "size"
and I was just curious as to see if anyone would like to see if they could POSSIBLY guess, hypothetically, what her bust measurements would be. If your a dude, your always curious. Chicks, not so much!

Yeah, even by BMI standards 115 @at 5'8" is under weight. However, I don't know that pathologizing her is really the way to go. There could very well BE people with those measurements who are quite healthy.

They might be healthy, but they would be leaner than April's appearance. I know, I've struggled with anorexia and when you weigh that little you do not have thighs and butt that are as round as April. She might also have to pad her front to have bust measurements like that.

At my lowest, I was hospitalized in 2009 weighing 93 pounds and had been severely ill for months. My bra size then was 34 inches, A cup and it wasn't snug either. (But I couldn't find a smaller size bra in stores.) You could see my ribs and my adam's apple and it wasn't pleasant. I needed therapy desperately just to be able to see myself as a normal person because I still felt I was fat, even as my clothes hung off me. So that's why those numbers matter and why unrealistic standards should not be encouraged.

The way OT April was drawn she could not be 115 pounds. She had a curvier figure that implied she had a higher BMI, one that was inconsistent with the data given. April's not fat, she was perfectly healthy. But the guidebook underestimated her weight a great deal and people take that information as "canon" anyway.

The Palladium RPG Guidebook isn't for OT April, but Mirage April.
I'm with you that I think the listed measurements for the RPG could do with a bit of...reality, but I disagree with the notion that people who are that through some sheer twist of genes are sick because of it.

It's body policing, even if it's done with the best of intentions.

Yeah, I agree. Some people can look like that and be totally healthy. But some people do starve themselves, that's problematic. It's harder to guess Mirage April's stats (she had a couple redesigns over the years) but I still doubt she was 115 pounds. All those RPG guidebooks who do well to consult medical guides to BMI, find out what is and isn't a realistic expectation for people.

It's not just the weights that off in some cases, the heights can be unrealistic too. Or they'll have unlikely hair or eye color combinations given the character's known parentage. Like, they might have a green eyed daughter of blue eyed parents (actual odds of that happening is 1:100.) Of course if we're dealing with aliens or mutants I can accept some level of unreality, but human characters need a bit more accuracy.

In the '87 episode when it first introduces Leatherhead, it's revealed that April's 28 years old.

I think Irma's comment about April gaining weight was one of those bad jokes about the bright side being a bad one.

I'm not a perv. I just wanted to say, since I hadn't posted in awhile, that I still would like someone's hypothetical viewpoint on what Ms. O'NEIL'S bust measurements might be. If anyone can just give a rough guess, maybe compare her to another known character with a GIVEN size, THAT might help. I love TMNT, and JUST because I ask about April's bust doesn't make me necro anything. I had a girlfriend who was kinky so I'm perfectly naturally curious.

My GF and I just got our first house and it is a bit of a fixer upper but has potential lol! Anyway here is the last name of the former resident on the mail box

I was so happy to see that name. One of the best parts is the porch use to have a swing.
