That's why I never got people who walk out early. They've already got your money, might as well stay.

Rising was rather weak on several points, so weak I'd rather watch Batman and Robin for at least some funny riffing with friends.

Everything that comes after that horrid "Batman Voice" is suspect.

I've actually left movies and asked for my money back. The manager of the theater always refunded me, because they don't make any money from ticket sales anyway. I already bought my $15 in concessions, which is where the theater makes it's money. By asking for my money back on a turd like X-Men 3, I took my $10 back and it didn't go into the pocket of 20th Century Fox.

It was the drive ins. They all either left of moved to a different screen to watch something else. And I watch a ton of movies and that is one of the worse I've ever seen. I don't care how much is made terrible movies can make a Ton of money.

Dark Knight Rises was awesome. Only thing that bothers me about the Nolan bat films is that it seems like there was a missing film between 2 & 3.

my sister walked out of the Last Airbender.

and when she came back.....she walked out again.

she said she just couldn't take it.....I could barely either, it was awkward laughter in the theater the whole time.

Steve Rogers freezing in the Arctic and being preserved and thawed out decades later is absurd if you try to think about it happening in the real world. But, they went for it and played it straight and no one whined about it being silly.

Basically, if the Turtles didn't have lips in this movie, no one would be writing a review and saying things like "The idea that these guys can talk without lips is absurd". The idea that they even exist is absurd, so why go down that road at all?
Yes, yes, yes. And Superman: The Movie is a great example. I thing it's awesome that Marvel is bringing that kind of fun back.

I've had hopes, since the set pictures began leaking, that this new TMNT movie could be fun, without constantly conceding to reality. The lair, the Shell Raiser, Raph in that conspicuous getup. Hopefully, this means the filmmakers didn't feel the need to ask themselves, "Is it realistic for the turtles to have a gawdy, custom van?" "Is there a logical reason for them to have a lair that's decked out with cool stuff?" "Would Raph's disguise get him questioned by the police?" "Is a puka shell necklace stealthy enough for a ninja?"

I hope, hope, hope those things are signs that this movie can be a wacky, fun, ridiculous adventure, like the ones in OT. The Avengers series and The Dark Knight Trilogy/Man of Steel both happened at the same time. I just want the turtles to pick the route that's actually fun.

Which is completely out of character for Bruce Wayne.

Not really. He's given up being Batman at least a few times that I can recall in the comics. He retired for a while and gave the cowl to Dick Grayson during "Prodigal." He obviously retired from being Batman for many years before returning to it in "The Dark Knight Returns." Same thing in "Kingdom Come."

I liked the Nolan films but that awful Joseph Gordon Levitt character ruined them.

A police officer with the first name, "Robin?" And he had such small eyes, it always bugged me looking at him because he has these tiny eyes and a huge forehead.

I'm about to say, if The Dark Knight Rises is one of the worst movies someone has seen, then clearly they haven't seen a lot of movies.

Particularly when a previous Batman film, Batman & Robin, is literally considered one of the worst comic book movies ever made. That film makes The Dark Knight Rises look like Taxi Driver by comparison.

That is literally the stupidest reason to hate an actor, ever. Not to mention, you're completely over-exagerating his physical appearance. Besides, I'm sure you have nothing on JGL. Let's face it, the dude is getting laid right now, and if not, he could be, easily, and what are you doing? Yeah, that's right. You're sitting by a computer complaining about Ninja Turtles.

At least TDK Rises Batman had a reason to not need to be on the streets. He actually caused major change, successfully within Gotham by cleaning it up.

TDK Rises Batman also hung it up due to age, injury, and a form of depression. He's still quite clearly addicted to being the Batman. As stated in the film. He was WAITING for things to go wrong, just so he could strap it up again and go out there. By that point it's acknowledged in sub plot he has a death wish.

Until converse to the original film, where Bruce Wayne gets destroyed by becoming fearless, to end the Batman and regain control of his life as Bruce Wayne he has to have the fear of death again. The will to live.

The story is about a man rediscovering his will to live. Epic. A deserved happy ending, to such a tragic, albeit inspiring character.
Totally agree. the Dark Knight Rises was a really brilliant film. The thing about Batman and Bruce Wayne is: One cannot exist without the other.

Bruce Wayne cannot exist without Batman, and Batman cannot exist without Bruce Wayne.

Anyway, back to TMNT. I think we have talked about Batman for long enough. This IS a TMNT forum anyway.

Nit pickers, Marvel fan boys, or pure Nolan haters wanted to comb over it with a fine tooth comb, and don't hold the same standard they did for Rises for much worse cinematic atrocities.

For instance say, the Avengers. Fun at times, but as a story? Seriously want to suggest it's superior to even Man of Steel? Let alone TDK Rises?

It's shallow, cartoony, plot holes, or stupidity is forgiven or shrugged off simply because it's supposed to be dumb? Scenes where I felt I was watching something Power Ranger related when dealing with Chitari / Loki scenes.

End of the day,I respect TDK Rises most for trying. And for the most part, it achieved. A 87% critic rating, and like a 90% fan rating to balance it out is kind of proof of it's total reception.
See? This is why Superman is feared, Iceman doesn't slide on ice, and Catwoman never meows. This attitude, right here.

Those don't mean anything.

But since it does to you, Avengers has higher percentages for both. So poor argument on your part.
