But because the CG in these blockbuster films is so insanely expensive. It's that simple really.

Sam Witwicky is a made up character for that mythos. At least Megan Fox's April is a real character in the mythos, so it's more forgivable that we see the film from her P.O.V.

Would you say TMNT 1990 was from April's P.O.V. too as the main focus of the story? We follow her for a large chunk of the movie. It opens up with her. Same goes for Secret of the Ooze. Isn't Keno basically the same as Sam Witwicky?

It is different, and I've never understood this complaint from whiny fan boys. It's borderline childish.

Do you only take interest in Kal-El, Bruce Wayne, Tony Stark, Steve Rodgers, and Peter Parker when they are in their superhero costume? Is your attention span that short and / or child like?

There is more to those characters than that, and if you're a true fan of any of those guys, what they do out of the suit is equally as important.

I personally am interested in the hero, not just the costume.

Even as a kid not seeing the hero in the costume never bothered me.

If they're in their costume the entire time, it just becomes a cartoon, and there is no specialness to the scenes in which they do don their legendary outfits to fight criminals.

- Superman TM
- Superman 2
Batman Returns
Spider-Man 2
- Batman Begins
Iron Man 2
Amazing Spider-Man
- The Dark Knight Rises
Iron Man 3

All had long stretches where the protagonist, the hero was doing heroic things while not actually being in their costume for a large chunk of screen time. 4 of those comic book films mentioned are some of the genre's absolute best pieces of work.
I love how he needs to stick it to Marvel even when nobody's talking about it, but yeah IM3, Spiderman 2, Superman and Superman 2 are awesome movies...Megan Fox as April O'neil blaargh, Megan Fox as a main character? Does anyone think that it's a good idea to let her carrie a whole movie?

All you pointed there are your opinions. All seems great to me. And this more ranting:

*yawn*

No teaser or trailer ever make a correct depiction of a whole movie. Example being Tangled, just dreadful teasers and trailers. But damn, the movie was great.

Even TMNT 2007, whose teaser was excellent, doesn't portray the final film. It was a tad underwhelming.

So this is gonna sound cliche but it's still true: "Just wait till the damn movie is out!"

Something about her clothes seems familiar.
I wonder where i saw that before,
Ultra tight jeans which can't be conformable, heals which are completely unnecessary.

Maybe it's this girl?

Or maybe it's this girl?

Or maybe it's a pig?

I'm going into this moving just hoping that it won't make me humilated to be a fan. Obviously Fox is not the best actress in the world. But I'd take her being the protaginst over the massive amount of campy cheese I'm sure this movie has to offer in spades.

As much as I complain I will be at the theater opening day. (I'm a Sheep.)

The only thing at all shocking about this being likely is if Hollywood actually lets a woman be the lead in an action movie.

And we're what, Surprised by this? Of course the turtles would, be secondary characters in their own movie. Might as well re title it "April O'Neil and The Ninja Turtles".

I don't know about anyone else, but I would LOVE an "Alien" style Turtle flick. Or a "Jaws"one.

As far as quality and/or tone or as far as the Turtles in space or vs a giant shark?
