Well...nice to see the 2003 cartoon getting the shaft once again. First it was on the previous cover, then it gets replaced for the new cover.

Of course

Thanks Eastman (or to whoever decided that choice).

Although 2K3 is my least favorite of all the cartoons and I don't care for it much...I do think it deserved to be on the cover more than IDW. It has much more significance/importance to the franchise, IMO.

Oh calm down. Choosing 4 of the many different series would be really hard. I think its cool to include past and present (and the IDW ongoing is really really good)

They already had the 4 chosen.

The original toon, Mirage comics, the 2k12 cartoon, and the 2003 cartoon. All 4 on that old Cover.

The new cover? They still have the Original cartoon. They still have the Mirage Comics. The still have the 2k12 cartoon...what is the ONE thing they change? The 2003 cartoon. Once again, it's another example of the 2003 show getting the shaft.

None of the others were changed. I'm sorry, but I still think it's BS that the 2003 cartoon was the Only one to be kicked off the cover/changed when it was already going to be there (with the old cover), and yet the 3 others got to stay...just my opinion.

I'm not happy about that 2k3 is gone, and also not happy about that IDW is represented by Eastman. I have nothing against him, but he is already represented through Mirage Raph on the cover. Yes, he has his alternate covers for all the IDW issues, and they are mostly great, but I'd rather have someone else's design who have drawn MOST of the issues, like Duncan or Santolouco.

Why should a mostly terrible cartoon (only season 1 was good) get on the cover instead of a fantastic comic that is still going at the time of this books release?

Because some think the Nick cartoon is relevant enough to represent it's era without IDW and re-establishes that 2k3 is some middle child of cartoon shows that no one wants to mention or talk about outside the fanbase?

Seriously, IDW may be more relevant and ongoing, but there's already the Nick show representing the current era. Now it's just representing two medias that fall under the Nickelodeon era, which honestly seems like an unintentional middle finger to those who want the 2k3 series to get some representation when it already has the unfortunate stigma for being the middle child simply because it wasn't as successful as the previous show or the current one.

And I'm not coming off as someone ungrateful fanbrat with entitlement issues, I'm just expressing slight disappointment.

You mean first four season, right? At least that one (even by your ratings) had at least one good season, all the 2012 series got so far are 5 or 6 good/okay episodes. It should go.

And even if it won't be 2003, then add Archie or Movie 1, all of those were better then 2012.

You're saying noone wants to talk about the movies outside the fanbase too? They arent on the cover either.

Not being on the cover isnt some big insult, they've just chosen the 4 most logical series.

I'm not saying it's an insult, just a slight disappointment.

Heaven forbid I like to see something else that doesn't feel like another advertisement for the IDW comic.

LOL, what? The majority of the Nick show has been very good. What are you talking about?

I'm personally not convinced that is IDW Leo up there. I'd actually be kinda surprised, as our "reach" is relatively small. But I never heard anything one way or another, so it's hard for me to say for sure.

I'll say that my preference would be for 2K3 to be up there as well... As someone else has pointed out, this is a "history" and the 'current' is already represented with the Nick toon.

That being said, I'll also say though that we ARE pouring our hearts and souls into the books! To imply it's just a product for us is way, way off base.

The new cover works because each turtle is probably the most notable and/or popular from whatever incarnation they're in. OT Mikey is a perfect example. One thing I will say is a disappointment, though, is that they replaced 2K3 with IDW (I think that's IDW anyway, I don't read the new comics).

EDIT: Looking at IDW Leo pics, it seems like there are multiple different designs or art styles for the comic? So...is the Leo on the new cover IDW styled? Again, I don't read those comics so I wouldn't know...
Except the IDW turtles don't have the knee and elbow pads, they do appear on covers depending on which artists depict them (Kevin draw them very Mirage-y so he have the pads added). But not inside the comic stories as far as I can remember.

Yep, you're right, they usually have bondage, except the two issues Kevin drawn.
Tho, it's recently changed to every turtle having different bondages, knee/elbow pads, and bags. (now, this is what the new movie should have done, if they really wanted to give them different "clothes")

That's your opinion. Not a Fact. Big difference.

If you think it's terrible, fine. I don't get it. I will never understand why a cartoon that has great animation, some actual serious stories, fun action, fun pop-culture jokes, decent voice acting, Actual Decent attempts to adapt the comic books and content that can be pretty steep for a kids show (or as far as you can go on a cartoon for kids that, I'm sorry, even the 2k12 cartoon will never go that far...stuff like Same As It Never Was, or the episode where they think Casey/April/Klunk have been killed, or Leo seemingly cutting Shredder's head off, or Bishop being kicked and impaled by Hooks)...I could go on. But I'm sure you have reasons and I've heard those reasons before. I just disagree and don't see what they see...

I'm not here to change your mind. I'm just here to vent frustration for a cartoon that to me and a LOT of people keeps getting the shaft from its' Own fanbase (let alone ignored from the masses) when it Doesn't deserve it AT ALL.

And Truthfully, I prefer the 2003 cartoon over the 80's and the new cartoon. Yes, I said it.

Thank you for saying this. I think a lot of people forget that you guys are just as much fans as you are content creators.
