Happy 30th Anniversary TMNT !

BlueKatanas · 05-05-2014, 03:04 AM

If I'm not mistaken today (May 5th) is the 30th anniversary of everyone's favorite mutant turtle brothers. So Happy anniversary to the franchise and to all us fans!

Anyone have any plans to celebrate today?

I'm going to watch some nick and OT and try to get my collection display sorted out. Might try to have some pizza too.

How about you?

marcelangelo · 05-05-2014, 03:14 AM

JonesyKitty · 05-05-2014, 03:25 AM

Happy anniversary everybody! I was hoping to have this piece done by today but it may not get finished until this evening but i figured I would draw a 30th anniversary picture

Blossombrooks · 05-05-2014, 03:28 AM

Hurray! Happy 30th TMNT and a huge thank you to Peter and Kevin for creating them. It's fantastic to think that the franchise has kept going all these years and new fans are joining all the time. They've been an important part of my life for 25 years and I certainly hope that for many more years to come the TMNT stick around.

Today I'll be watching a bit of the OT, reading some classic comics and probably either taking some toy pics or doing some commemorative art to celebrate. Go ninja, go ninja, go ninja, go!

*Shark_Blade* · 05-05-2014, 04:06 AM

Happy anni tmnt!

I really should get a new laptop so I can draw some tmnt again.

*The Fifth Turtle* · 05-05-2014, 06:18 AM

Today I'm getting Kevin's and Peter's signature tattooed on my shoulder (after being signed at Jetpack comics). How's that for celebrating?!

Happy birthday TMNT!!

rickwj324 · 05-05-2014, 06:47 AM

Yay! Today should be declared "National TMNT day"!!

Happy anniversary to my little green pals.

Do we have to stop calling them teens now? After all, they are 30 now!! (haha)

*pannoni1* · 05-05-2014, 07:05 AM

TMNT sadly gets overshadowed by Cinco de Mayo. I'm surprised the Turtles' favorite foods weren't fish tacos with guacamole chips and a tequila. I'm going to watch Turtles Forever as a result since it ties the original comics, OT, and 4kids past!

Haha, have fun getting inked! Your previous TMNT ink is one of the best I've ever seen.

Ill be driving home and reminiscing of the weekend. Truly one of the greatest weekends ever. If I had time, I'd go pour a 40oz. on the site where the Portsmouth HoJo used to be...

Happy anniversary y'all

SwiftNinjaFox · 05-05-2014, 07:15 AM

Watched the first 5 episodes of the original toon this weekend and the first half of 2k3 season 1.

Today's plan is to watch the second half of season 1 and the original movie with pizza at lunch.

Then this afternoon I'm going to play some TMNT 1, 2, 3 on the NES and maybe Turtles in Time on SNES (though that might wait since I will do a full playthrough on it for sure)

*BubblyShell22* · 05-05-2014, 07:29 AM

Happy anniversary, TMNT. Thanks to Kevin and Peter for creating them and making me a fan. I don't think I'll be doing anything because we're going to get thunderstorms. I was going to type some more of one of my stories, but it looks like we're going to get a storm shortly, so I'll have to get off. Bummer. But if we weren't getting storms, I'd be typing some stories and maybe watching some DVDs.

It's the best for now. Pretty sure the weekend my daughter's birth will be the best ever. But for now, this tops everything.

Was awesome meeting everybody, gonna post the re-cap in the FCBD 2014 thread shortly.

But there's no website for the 30th anniversary?

I remember this cool website for the 25th http://tmnt25.crtti.com/ with that awesome logo.

I also recall some action figure also for that special event, like:
