The only thing I didn't like about the episode was how the other turtles (Mikey, Don, Leo) seemed fine around Slash. (and to an extent even Raph)

If Slash beat me to an inch of my life then I'd be avoiding him!! Or at least have my weapon in hand whenever he's around.

I mean one does not simply forget a brutal beat down.

I feel like it downplays Slash and Destroy a bit.

Well, Slash was helping out, so they decided not to worry about it. I loved this episode though. Slash was awesome, and it was nice seeing that he does care about people and wanting to help them out and not hurt them unlike Newtralizer. I know that Newt wants to get revenge on the Kraang, so it makes me curious as to his origin. Was he mutated into a newt and was a human before, or was he a regular newt sort of like how LH was a regular croc? Loved seeing how Slash and Newt met and loved the bit at the end. I'm kind of glad Slash didn't go with the guys and wants to do his own thing. Yeah, Raph was a bit of a jerk to Casey, but that's to be expected because he doesn't want his friend to get hurt. Overall, a pretty good ep. Loved the Cowabunga shop, the spyroach, the Kraang dialogue, and the fact that Mikey's still bitter about Donnie naming Newt. Can't wait for next week.

Awesome, thanks. I downloaded Ralph Mcquarrie's Star Wars artwork book and it really got me back in the Star Wars mood...

Danny Trejo was the voice of the Newtralizer, But you couldn't recognize him with all the voice modulation going on.

Btw, Whats up with Newtralizer yelling. "Rocka! Rocka! Rocka!" a lot
TC, I'm thinking the rocka rocka thing has something to do with his species language. Not sure if it's supposed to be a tribal battle cry or what. I sort of dug it, although as others have said, it reminds me of Fozzie. I'm not sure if he's the last of his kind, but I can imagine thousands of these big brutes chanting this while pumping themselves up to battle the Kraang, or perhaps they do this while they're in battle since Newt busted it out a few times. I think it's safe to say he's an alien now and not a mutant, so I'd like to think there are more of his kind out there in those other dimensions somewhere. Unless of course the Kraang did away with the majority of his species. Who knows at this point? Fun to speculate though. I say alien because the Kraang have identified him as such more than once. Hey, there are alien dinosaurs in other incarnations. Why not alien newts or whatever? haha If he's just an every day mutant, that's cool too. Wonder where he got that translator and all his hardware?

So...in other words, Slash (which could have been the most interesting villain of the whole show since he knows where they live, knows the family better than any of the other villains, almost murdered Mikey about 3 or 4 times in Slash & Destroy, gave them one of the worst beat downs that they ever had...at least since they first met Shredder) and all of the interesting stuff that you could have written for him as a villain (like being a Dark Mirror version of Raphael, or who Raph would/could be without his brothers) has pretty much been completely wasted since he's pretty much A-OK with them now.

And in just the Second show that he was in (not counting the tiny appearance he made in one of the previous episodes).

Great job writing team! Now let's move on to the Monster Pizzas show! I mean, Seriously? Really?

Even for a kids show, I have to say that they Really, Really dropped the ball on that. Big Time.

I agree, that sounds like a good idea actually. I think they need some more villains in the mix that are more personal to them and Slash could be that villain.

Especially, as Ramboraph pointed out, because he's a great way of exploring the darkness and depth of Raph's character

Yeah, that moment came spontaneously out of nowhere. How did he go from Bludgeoning Raph, to fighting the kraang with him in a minute?

Yeah, Hes definitely an alien, When he met Slash for the first time, He had to change his translator device, in order to speak English.

The past episode had the Kraang call him the escaped convict, so he was always an alien.

Slash was never a full-on bad guy. He wanted to waste the bad guys in the ways the tmnt can't... at least the Nick tmnt can't. He saw the others are dead weight that were getting in the way. Insane, sure. But not the kind to go attack random people for no reason.

But again, to go from giving Mikey the most severe beat down he's ever had (and almost murdering him in quite a few ways, you could say even the most severe beat down that Donnie might have had too if the bruises tell the whole story let alone Donnie's arm), to having a brutal fight with Raphael, and everything else in Slash & Destroy...and then in only his Second Appearance (not counting his cameo in another one) to pretty much become their Ally (set up for future episodes) is very, very weak as well as lame on the part of the writers. Way too quick and you could even say Anti-Climactic as well, since it's obvious that he'll be the ally that will come in once in a while to help out (if for nothing else but out of his Loyalty to Raphael).

Especially with all of the directions and things that you could have done with Slash after 'Slash & Destroy'. And instead they took the laziest and most easy way out. The only way it would have been 'even more lazier/easier' than this would have been if he had gotten turned back into Spike at the end.

Like I said, he had reasons. Misguided whacked-out reasons... but reasons. The others were holding Raph back. The only way for Raph and him to be a kick-ass team to take down the bad guys.. was to take them out of the picture. He never showed interest into just harming random people.

That's the issue with your statement, if you count don't his appearance in Metalhead Rewired, you're missing the whole point of where all this started at. That's the episode they realize they had a common enemy. That wasn't just a thrown in 3 second throwaway moment, that had significant meaning behind where they stood.

And plus bashing these writers for the whole "Turn on a dime cause you realized who the real enemy is" issue is ridiculous because it's happened WAY more times than you think in many different forms for many different franchises.

You know how many times that happened in say "X-Men"?

Do you have about seven hands to count from...?
