And with that, I think it is enough internet for today (tonight).
I read a scientific encyclopedia on box turtles (the kind typically kept as pets) and it mentioned that males sometimes die after copulation after falling off the female, landing on their backs, and not being able to get upon their feet again.

See? More weird animal facts. The Turtles are way too humanoid now. I doubt any of them are gonna suddenly drop dead after getting laid.

Box turtles do have a. At apace more akin to tortoises then turtles, so I'd imagine they would have as much trouble as a tortoise to flip themselves over compared to other turtles like Red-Eared Sliders, who can easily flip themselves around.

I dunno, interspecies relationships don't seem that taboo - just look at Mass Effect (Femshep can romance with Garrus), Star Trek, Stargate and Farscape have depicted interspecies relationships before and there's even that lesbian couple in Doctor Who. IMO, it seems kinda sad that the turtles don't/shouldn't have any romance options on earth. While they share DNA with a terrapin which is outwardly obvious, they're still capable of consenting and comprehending relationships.

Regarding the whole reproduction thing, I doubt they'd be able to produce viable offspring; their DNA is just too different. I could see Donnie adopting a kid with his human partner somewhere down the line, though. (It doesn't have to be April) That being said, this would have to be in a world where they're accepted by humanity and allowed to walk the surface.

I did see a page from a comic book depicting a beautiful woman having sex with a horrible space monster, the idea of creating a hybrid.

Wow. This is an interesting discussion. My opinion is that there are many pros as well as cons for the Turtles having any kind of relationship outside of friendship with a human. Does that mean it's totally impossible? Not really, but they do have to proceed with caution. Don and April probably could have a relationship seeing as how she's already immersed in their world, but as for kids, I'm honestly not sure. It just depends on which route people want to go with it.

A turtle/human hybrid seems a bit too fantastical.

If Gargoyles did it than TMNT can.

Even though Disney stopped the series, Greg Weisman has revealed many secrets and plans he had for the Gargoyles Universe.

Spoiler:
Goliath and Elisa do get married and they do adopted a kid

Everything on Gargoyles is on this site if anyones interested.

Did anyone notice how in that scene she was "Not now Casey"? Even though she though he was grabing her ass, she just shruged it off as something that happened before...
