Sure. But it looks like one of the better movies of the summer and if nothing else the marketing is doing a better job selling it.

The people that worked on this film are the same visual effects artist that are working on Avengers 2, Jurassic World, Star Wars, Transformers 4, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Hercules, and more recently Captain America 2, Ironman 3, Avatar.. not to mention Bay, PD and Mednick Productions producing the film? TMNT is in good hands " quality" wise. It WILL be a stunning looking film. Do you just mean reward the ones that produce the stuff you like?
I'm sorry but that is not justice my friend. I don't know why people continue to come in here and openly call for TMNT's failure. Every time someone bets against TMNT they've bet wrong.

I think the only thing that we can all agree on when it comes to BayTurtles is that some people will enjoy it and some people won't. I don't imagine that the fanbase will be any less divided on the issue once we've all actually seen the film.

New GotG trailer is awesome and is almost universally being doted on. Good sign.

Meanwhile... TMNT? Lukewarm response to the designs and trailer would be putting it kindly. Outside of the truest hardcore fans, I think those showing interest in it are doing so more for the trainwreck factor. Just how bad will it be? etc.

TMNT has no chance. Guardians will stay #1 Aug 8th weekend, I can't see it happening any other way.

I'll be supporting both though, just to be clear.

I think TMNT is gonna get smashed. Nick needs to get their heads out of their butts. They spent a lot to acquire TMNT only to license it out to incompetent game developers and filmmakers. It's a joke. Learn from how Disney is handling its acquisitions. Marvel is turning out excellent and it's looking bright for Star Wars as well. And then there's also Pixar on top of it all.

Still hoping to be wrong!

One last thing... if people respond well to Groot as a character, hopefully it will inspire DC to finally do a new take on Swamp Thing, one of my favorite characters of all time!

Because they have nothing better to do dude! We'll enjoy the film, it doesn't matter if most of these guys won't, at the end of the day, its just a film. Im excited about it only p1ssed it comes out over here two months after the US release date.

I don't think the TMNT trailers have shown their best, yet. As I've said before, the first trailers (Why consider them different?) highlighted everything people were worried about. Megan Fox, big turtles, Erich Sachs. That was like the, "Look at much things have changed" trailer. All the worrisome elements are out on the table, now.

People here want to see the turtles fight, and hear all of them talk, etc. We know they have tons of martial artists and we know the voice talent's been swapped around. I think a longer trailer can only work in the movie's favor, when they actually start highlighting the parts people want to see most.

Industrial Light and Magic working on the effects for TMNT does not, by itself, say anything about the overall quality of the film. They've done a lot of mediocre movies over the years. It takes more than special effects to make a movie fun. TMNT might be fun, but so far they haven't been able to sell that in the trailers or marketing.

The new GOTG trailer was superb, for sure. It did a very good job at selling the wacky concept to the masses and "casuals" (which is the most important thing). Paramount better bring out their A game for the new TMNT trailer.

Even Johnathan which people are worried about still has PLENTY of potenial.

I have more faith in Megan as April than Liebesman as a director. He's really not got a track record to warrant any warm fuzzies. Plus I think he's mostly a yes man on the project for Bay to direct by proxy as he's tied up with Age of Extinction.

That last part could be totally unjustified, but it's just how I feel thus far.

Not sure what you mean. Bay and Fox aren't the only negative things people have against this film.

And there's no denying Johnathan is a terrible director. Everyone of his film have gotten nothing but negative reviews. Why they would chose him for directing the Turtles' comeback to the big screen when there are better ones out there is beyond me.

I think I might see it and TMNT ^_^ Though I'm still not sold on the raccoon and I don't think I want another obvious romance with the only girl on the team....(she's already half naked in the trailer...ugh)

TMNT has my priorities~ it's not everyday you get to see the turtles on the big screen~

Rocket is hilarious in the comics, and would be here. We watch a show with giant ninja turtles, how is a space raccoon (he doesn't like being called a raccoon) any stranger? And Gamora is the deadliest woman AND assassin in the universe, she was trained by Thanos for crying out loud. And there will probably be a little bit of romance, but obviously not a lot. It's not going to be a major plot point (hopefully).

honestly thought out of all the Marvel studios movies..romantic subplots havnt really been that major

aside from Thor and maybe Banner, they don't really dwell on the love interest angle

Im going through IMDB whole credits for tmnt and really i dont see any negatives, everyone involved has an extensive and great resume tons of great popular major films,

Heck Steve Barron Didn't have much better of a resume when he name TMNT, even after that He's not even the best director either mostly TV movies


Seriously thought Go through IMDB and see the movies everyone working on this movie have worked on and what they did for those movies.

yes but the negativity isnt the cast really..its the design choices, marketing choices, and so many other things before casting is even brought up
