specialty toy and collectable stores carry them as well... but the internet is probably the easiest to find NECA stuff...

That is until NECA stops the run on the figures and prices explode.

I think he's one of those figures that has a good enough sculpt, but is one of those ones that the fan has to repaint (since Playmates is pretty much cheaping out on that aspect.) If he had a deep black paint, brilliant red to orange markings, with a gloss to make his skin look glossy and wet like a real 'newt's, then he'd look like that prototype that was hand painted at the toy-fair. I'd also go the extra step to paint his equipment a dull metallic grey, then lightly blackwash it to make the small details on it stand out.

To me, he looks more like he's trying to hold back explosive diarrhea, but that's just my opinion.

I never saw them in my neck of the woods, but then again this state (SC) seems to get shafted with a lot of collectibles. I got my NECA Raph when I was visiting my hometown in NY, at of all places, a Hot Topic store. The rest I hadda get online.

yeah the 1993 movie turtles were pretty great for their time. sculpting and articulation have improved but otherwise toys in this price range have lowered in quality since then, that's for sure.

You used to get at least some attempt at paint apps... now it's the absolute minimum they can get away with.

Stickers on accessories... still a fan, stickers aren't always ideal since they are prone to wear but for that pizza box it works great. would playmates do an accessory like that today? who knows.

$2 for a bus ticket? That's wicked cheap, here it's close to $7 for one bus ticket.

Loin Cloth View:

**As you can see, the loin cloth has a peg that is glued into a hole on his shell.
The shell itself looks to be finished on the front and back, but the loincloth is glued on to him. His shell also has an imprint of where the strap should go (like the old vintage turtles belts did). There is no place to store his sai. Mine only came with one sai, I'm not sure if the packaged figure will have 1 or 2.

Here's another pic of him with the Nick Raph:

Next up... Slash!!
It doesn't look too bad...but I must admit I am disappointed.
I will but just him... It's a pity, because I am sure that other toys companies would have done a better job. Even Hasbro...

I'm copping a few of these guys, at least one to keep MOC. That's an excellent looking figure. Don't buy the hate.
Yeah, I like the looks of these as well, can't wait to see more Leo.
