Fair point, I just think a spider would fit her personality - sleek, deadly, nimble... and if you try to whack her with a broom, she'll disappear under your couch and you'll spend the rest of the night looking for her!

But yeah, they probs won't want to reuse the same animal.

Not really thrilled of long time mutation, but if temporary one is unavoidable I would vote for black panther.

She should mutate into "Super Karai" and look and fight like she did in TMNT tournament fighters on the SNES.

That's the only "Mutation" of her that I'd like to see.

okay, To be on topic, If she has to mutate into an animal. I think she should mutate into a cat. I think it fits her. and it might parallel the strife between her and splinter in a kind of a symbolic form.

Spiderbytez seems to borrow the stubby legs + round body + big mouth bit.

However, if we're comparing him to video game characters, Spidey-biter reminds me most of Gillwing from Sega's classic NiGHTS into Dreams.

My bets on turtle or rat. I imagine either one of the guys or splinter will try to rescue her, get a hand on her, be pulled away, then she's doused in mutagen.

That just made me think, this whole time I've been set that she's intentionally mutated by shredder, but what is she's not. What if it's an accident that shredder didn't plan.

I'd always figured a Turtle to be this series' Venus or a rat like her daddy, but honestly I'd never thought of her being this universe's Ninjara or Alopex. That's kind of cool to think about.

Funny thing is, I've really had no issues with any of the creative decisions on the Nick series thus far (no, not even the fairly controversial April stuff), but when this rumor hit due to the "action figure inquiry/potential info leak," I was rather irked by it. I just don't like this idea at all. I'm sure even if it turns out to be true (which, it probably will) I will just accept it and move on, hoping they eventually undo it. And the theory about Splinter allowing Karai to change back instead of himself is a very sound one - I'd say if she does indeed end up mutating, you can bank on that being the outcome that undoes it.

I just had an epiphany: Her mutation's been forshadowed this whole time; her eye make-up vaguely resembles the markings on the red-eared slider's head. That or it's just subtle symbolism for her connection to her step brothers.

Perhaps it's her look and the hair or something.
