Someone saw a test screening of Guardians of the Galaxy and they say that even though the effects aren't done, there are parts that drag, some action sequences that aren't as strong as one might hope a lot can change between now and August.

Warning Spoilers http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansit...news/?a=101263

Also Lucy is going to be R rated film.

I'm not exactly saying this is some big thing that Viacom is doing, and it's definitely not a conspiracy. However, putting out a Mirage shirt (that was labeled 2014) is a sort of odd thing to put out, since the masses don't really know what that's all about. They may have just put that out there because hardcore fans will pick it up instead of familiarizing people with a more gritty take on the turtles, I don't know.

The fact that a movie is coming out may or may not have to do with the merchandise coming out (even if it does, I know it's not the only factors they're putting out these awesome clothing items), but I'm excited TMNT is become such a bigger deal again.
Our boys deserve it.. I am just ecstatic about it. New show, new comic, new movie, new toys etc.. Long live the TMNT

I can't wait to see Lucy.. looks like an awesome film. As for Guardians.. if they're having test screenings for it then is it possible they'll have screenings for TMNT? This stupid competition aside.. I actually hope GOTG is a good movie. Bc I'm definitely going to see it

my guess would be end of june start of July...this sounds more like a press screening though so i wouldnt expecting anything soon ish

especially with it being a paramount baby,,they probably want to screen in order of release and do transformers first....i admit part of me hopes i get pre screening tickets to it..there was a year i didn't pay for any movies thanks t friends who had extra free tickets

I love it that, Gamora despite her position, isn't clinging to Star Lord's leg.

Not bad. On par with the first Captain America and Thor.

I hadn't considered that it might not look family friendly. There is that one shot of Gamora that's probably the most nudity that Marvel Studios has dared, so far. Other than that, I don't really see it being objectionable.

EDIT__________
There was also Quill flipping the bird. Fine. This is already the dirtiest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But still...

Went to an anime convention this weekend.

I saw a pair dressed as female versions of the Don and Mike complete with anime-ish eyes in the mask. Oddly they actually didn't look that weird.

Also saw a Rocket Raccoon and a Groot.

Hands down Rocket was one of the best costumes of the convention. And the person wearing it was about 5'2" which really helped make it awesome.

All i'll say is this, once TMNT's marketing kicks into full swing (Not saying it will beat guardians) Guardians will have a major problem on it's hands, let me ask you a question, we know Guardians and TMNT Will have bedding and Birthday items and cups and all that stuff, but Which one would a kid choose?, would they choose something with a tree and a raccoon? that the've only seen in TV spots and trailers of guardians, or TMNT?, the turtles might not look like they usually do, but you can still tell it's TMNT, Kids aren't dumb, they would most likely choose TMNT.

And i'm getting sick of seeing guardian TV Spots, i won't be seeing it.

So kids who don't like TMNT are dumb, all of a sudden?
Don't you think it's a bit extreme logic, no?

Personally, I think kids will buy what they'll like more. And it depends on the quality of the movie. Besides, I believe, GOTG targeting teenagers and adults, while TMNT (traditionally) is targeting children. So, if TMNT'14 merchandise will be successul it will not neccessarily mean, that GOTG was a failure. It's just mean that they targeting different audiences.

I agree.. kids aren't dumb they can definitely tell it's TMNT with or without the changes made. GOTG doesn't have a hit cartoon so i think it's safe to say it will be more popular with the kiddies. I also think that TMNT will pull in mostly older people though. Most of the fan base are in their 20's/30's. Most of the members here on the Drome are in their 20's/30's.
They know this. So it's going to be interesting to say the least.

It's sort of in between, I guess? The artist has done work for Marvel movies (his website) before and it was getting shown around social media by people associated with the movie, but it's not official.

The biggest factors turtles has going for it, is the show is a hit, the comic is a hit and the history. Despite the belly aching and hopes for it to flop this movie could out do Guardians especially when Paramount ramp up the promotion blitz during Nick shows and selected Cartoon Network shows.
