The Nick series is basically an "Ultimate" version of the Fred Wolf series. Which is fine. It's not my favorite version of the Turtles, but it's fairly entertaining. If that's what this movie was trying to be I'd be much more optimistic than I am about we've seen and know about this version.

I'm not chomping at the bit for a Mirage based movie(a mirage based series of Direct to DVD animated films are another story).

I'm just fine with the different colored headbands and distinct personalities and the pizza.

I just want something that doesn't look "BIG DUMB AND XTREME TO THE MAX BRO"

Something that Liebesman and Bay have nothing to do with, preferably.

It's your opinion, and that's fine. But that doesn't make any sense to me. What repetitiveness?

The first movie and second movie are different from each other, and different from the comics & cartoon. It became its' own thing/hybrid.

The 2003 cartoon is different from the 80's cartoon, the comic books, and the movies. It became its' own thing.

The Image comics were even different from the other comics. Became its' own thing.

The 2007 CGI film had different stuff (Raph as Nightwatcher, etc.)

Even people in favor & defending the film keep talking about how each version/cartoon series/etc. did different stuff and were different from each other. Which is their reasoning for defending stuff which has been changed. And yet at the same time the franchise has been 'too repetitive'?

Repetitiveness has nothing to do with it. It's simple.

You either like changes that get made, or you don't like changes that get made. And Some people just think that the changes made for this new one suck. Not because it's New. Not because it's different.

But they simply go 'The Turtles look like crap' or the countless reasons that people gave a 100 times.

'still attaining the original essence of the story.' Wouldn't that be the 4 brothers chatting/talking/caring/responding to each other as a family? Isn't that the true essence of the story? If so, the marketing hasn't shown any hints of that kind of dialogue/rapport/bonding/etc. so far...

1. The 2k3 turtles look like they could start for a few NBA teams.
2.Dumb? You haven't seen one clip of them interacting with each one and another.
