The Nick show could pull a fast one on us like that (even if they didn't plan it initially) since the show has the writing room to do so (at this point of the show), and it could make April's character a bit more redeemable by having a bit of a dark side to her.

...So Ciro and Nick staff, if any of you are reading this, just a small idea to throw out there...

But here the thing, if April continues on with her love triangle shtick after farm scene with Donnie, wouldn't she suddenly become really unlikeable.

Ditto, I was really happy when that unfolded! Would've been nice to see him get into a relationship though. I don't know whether that might've been where they were heading with Amp - aesthetically I found the idea of pairing those two a bit weird, but Weisman did say that Lex had a crush on him, so... who knows.

Yeah, I do think it's kind of a silly pair, but hey if it happens I'm fine with it. More canon gay ships that aren't portrayed as abusive or terrible, please.

Moar canon queer canon ships in general I think - it always bothered me that in Buffy, Willow's relationship with Tara was defined as "gay now", in her own words. For many people, sexuality is fluid or at least not 100% black and white - not everyone's a Kinsey 1 or a Kinsey 6. It'd be nice to see a bit more of a trend towards showing the full spectrum of relationships and sexualities possible out there.

Which is why, for my part, I can't get too worked up over Apritello - interspecies relationships are a non-issue for me.

Actually, I should clarify - interspecies relationships between species of human-level intelligence (or higher) are a non-issue for me. Didn't want to leave myself open for quips about crazies who advocate bestiality there...

yes. That would pretty much prove she's leading on the boys.

I'm insulted by this comment as you didn't debate the post, but attacked the poster. To quote once again....
Quote:
I thought it was pure genius and just re-emphasized how he's the type to overthink and plan. Wasn't that the actual premise of the episode? He couldn't fight properly because he would think too much.

How exactly is this creepy, anyway? How is it any different from a guy or girl who may purposely walk a certain path just to have an excuse to be near the object of his or her affections? Or a situation where you're thinking of ways to hang around that person? He just came up with different scenarios to hang around him, and personally, I'd find it hard to believe if no one's ever done that (not on Donny's level of course). I know I have.

I was interested in a guy, already friends, would try to think of a way to be alone with him without others around and without it seeming like I'm trying to get a date out of him. Just thinking of a way to casually hang out without other friends along, that type of thing. i find these actions, by Donny, quite normal. His over analyzing and planning, though is played up for laughs.

If he had a chart filled with her day-to-day activities ("See, and this is when April washes her hair, so I'll come by and offer her specialized shampoo that will enhance her hair's shine...") listed or her exact locations ("...and at exactly 3:27, she's usually standing at the corner of [street name] so I can go there and...."), etc., then I would find that creepy. He was just coming up with different scenarios to hang out with her when the opportunity presented itself and predicting what she might or might not say. The homework scenario was quite logical, imo. She's a student, of course she'll have homework (and she's mentioned it).
Completely normal.

Nowhere is Donnie trying to avoid consent. He was thinking of ways to hang with her or impress her when and if the opportunity presented itself. They upped it because the ep was about Donnie learning how to get out of overthinking. Even when he did use the chart, he asked to train together since she would be there training. There was an opportunity and he took it. He didn't force anything.

Even I've done something similar. No chart of course. My crush liked playing video games. So did I. We were at the arcade. I played games with him. I didn't force him to play, he chose to. It was nicer because we were alone. I was able to get to know him better and talk one-on-one. That's why I wanted to be alone with him. Even if nothing happened in the romantic sense, I could still make a good friend. How is this creepy?

Thinking back to my second year of HS, a guy I know did something similar. He did sport commentating for our games. It was our first homecoming game and we were both preparing for. We were helping with the parade. He asked me when finished if I wanted to sit in the commentator's box with him since I didn't have a ticket to the game. We would've been alone for it, but I didn't think anything of it. We were already friends, though, which is why I didn't. I didn't stay because I was tired from the day. He then said that if I changed my mind, I could always join him. There was an opportunity, and he took it, especially since I mentioned wanting to see the game earlier. He wanted to spend alone time with me. He had a crush on me. I didn't know it then. I learned this after high school and even admitted that he did plan that. That aside, he wanted to impress me with his commentating skills and to have an opportunity to hang with me alone since we were always around others. Is this creepy?

I wish April would have more character and a definite power set. Her powers are so confusing! Also, what the **** are the Kraang even doing anymore? They were defeated in season 1......

But they have no goals that we know of! It's pointless to have them around!

Yeah, unless they are still trying to perfect the Mutagen or they just like working for Shredder.

They haven't brought up trying to perfect mutagen in recent episodes, or maybe they have and I just need to rewatch the series. I just really hate the Kraang as of now. Can't wait for the Triceratrons to come in through!

I'm looking forward to seeing them too, but I'm pretty sure the Kraang will be connected.

Oh and the reason I think they are still unofficially trying to perfect the mutagen because of Wormquake.

Maybe it's just me, but I always forget whatever the Kraang are doing in the episode, I forget why they had clone aprils, I forget why they were teraforming the earth, I forget pretty much everything Kraang related in season 2.

I'm surprised you forgot, actually. They want to inhabit earth. They want to perfect the mutagen so they can mutate it so that they can live there. As is they fully can't and the key to perfecting it is through April's DNA.

Now I am lost on why they needed April clones, unless they were trying to duplicate her genetic makeup and DNA and just failed miserably.

They had clones of April so they can harvest her DNA to stabilize the mutagen. But for some reason the clones weren't enough.

That's utterly ridiculous.

You can change "mutant" to "mammal humanoid with tentacle brain alien genes" all you want. It's still "mutant", period. And it's still mutant/mutant relationship, period.

The other thing I find hilarious is "people" have a problem with the Donnie/April trend because it's a "mutant" falling for a human, yet they'll turn right around and say April/Casey is fine, yet fail to remember that in this incarnation of Turtles, April/Casey falls under the exact same category as the former, "Mutant" falling for a human.
To be fair, in case of Doctor Who, the Doctor probably does have similar type of sense of attractiveness as humans since his species look like humans. However, New Who's tendency of having there be romance between Doctor and companion is fricking stupid because 1) Doctor is much much MUCH older than them. They are basically children in comparison to him. 2) Hes pretty much snobby victorian era type of person who thinks that he is superior to humans, or at least used to be. 3) Previously he used to be more of asexual person so giving him sexuality now feels odd.

Aka, the reason why Doctor x Companion thing doesn't make sense isn't because one is alien(human like aliens is pretty stupid thing, but honestly, aliens that look exactly like humans make more sense when it comes to people finding them attractive since it doesn't qualify as xenophilia, people finding tentacle aliens attractive is much rarer), its because its (or at least used to be since New Who has slightly different characterization) out of character for Doctor AND because age difference makes it rather creepy combined with Doctor's patronizing behaviour.

...Nope, its turtle mutant/half human half alien hybrid "mutant"(which is pretty much wrong term used by show) relationship. And one is reptile, one is mammal. Why would reptile find mammal attractive? You didn't answer to that. You think mutants have some kind of "I sense a mutant" instinct or something?

Also, are you aware that calling April non human has unfortunate implications to it? So how about you answer this: How do you define what is human? Why April ISN'T human in your opinion?

How exactly is April half Kraang anyway? Kirby is her biological father. Part makes more sense.

I didn't mean "half" literally, but yeah part krang.

I'd like to more know how exactly krangs experimenting on her mother when she was pregnant makes her non human I'm reaaaaally interested in hearing how he is going to define what human is since he is already being down to rather offensive path.

And ignoring the fact that I said Ralph finding Ninjara attractive doesn't make sense either despite both being mutants <_< Seriously, its annoying when I'm trying to have a debate and opposition ignores the arguments.

What about Leonardo and Radical having a relationship in the Mirage comics.

Radical AKA Doctor Raven Shadowheart is a human, a super human, but she is human.
