While not confirmed that Biggs is permanently gone, this is the problem with hiring big names to do voice acting on a cartoon show. Biggs pretty much acts and does what he wants because the TMNT gig just isn't that important to him or his career. It's disrespectful to the fanbase as well.

The entire situation is just so souring. Leave the voice acting in shows like this to people who are going to be in it for the long haul. Not sabotage all of their potential for gigs aimed at younger audiences just to make some filthy jokes on twitter.

I don't buy the whole "he's busy with his new baby!", come on... do you follow him on social media at all? he is doing tons of stuff constantly. interviews non stop. don't make excuses for him.

Ugh.. that picture. I keep wanting to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he seems to use any moment he can get to put himself into "the spotlight." Honestly, who does something like that on a picture?

I can say that personally I really liked Dominic as Leonardo (and he seems like a nice guy), he has a good grasp on Jason's way of speaking as Leo and had some great moments. (In the opening scene I actually thought it was still Biggs)

There were a few moments were the difference was noticeable but I'm sure Dominic will grow more and more into his role as time goes on. With each episode it seems more likely he'll stay for the rest of the season.


I only don't understand why Nick is secretive about this. Why not a simple announcement Dominic was taking over temporarily or permanently?

He did show up at the very first panel that had the nick cast. but other than that, nothing that i recall.

No he didn't show up last year. And that picture doesn't surprise me at all as that's who Biggs is. He's just that type of guy. If Dom is a permanent replacement, then fine. I'm on board with it for sure.

On the imdb page it says that Jason Biggs has voiced 50 episodes. Meaning he only missed 2 episodes…. I don't think he has been recast. That would probably make news…I can't stand hearing the other voice though.

I wish we got a clear-cut answer but I doubt this is a permanent recast.

Obviously I hope not because Biggs has done an amazing job as Leonardo but it just doesn't seem right to completely recast one of the main characters this late in the game.

I don't know what you people are expecting. Whenever there are voice changes in cartoons its never announced to the public and fans just have to wait and see if that voice sticks.

I'm not saying Biggs doesn't have the right to say what he wants to about any topic, as with any celebrity, but when others praise a person/celebrity for being so "outspoken" and "brave" to say what he/she wants to, is it actual bravery if that person says and does things that will clearly have minimal to small risks/detriment to his/her own self?

Agreed. It's better to have someone who takes these roles seriously and is passionate about it.

Like I said earlier if there will be any kind of press announcement of who is voicing the character, it'll be when they have announced the date for the season 3 premiere. Here was the casting information for when season 2 was going to premiere.

Dominic said it himself that he cannot officially confirm whether he is permanently taking over the role or filling in for Biggs. All we know is that he has been working on the show recently. Casting changes happen in some cartoon series, but they are never officially announced. This was a great example that I gave earlier Christine Cavanagh unexpectedly quit voicing Chuckie Finster on Rugrats and Dexter on Dexter's Laboratory, but no reason was given for her departure. Rob Paulsen left the role of Raphael in the original TMNT series, but that was not reported. Also, the English dub of the anime Sailor Moon was known for having both temporary and permanent casting changes.
