Amazing episode. I missed the first ten minutes due to a power outage so I've got to catch that later.
Really liked this episode, except for Karai's mutation. I'm okay with it, but I think it just looks off the wall. Snake heads for hands...? At least she can take human form.
Leo was great in this episode, and so was Splinter. The whole episode was so emotional. I think Shredder blamed Splinter for the mutation because he was in denial or lacks the ability to take responsibility (he blamed Tang Shen's death on Splinter, so I can't see why he would do it again. Shredder probably can't take the guilt. He did have some fatherly feelings for Karai even though hanging her over mutagen and making her bait officially makes him the one of the worst fathers ever).
I wonder how Splinter will treat Leonardo because of this.
Is there really going to be a Leo one-shot episode? So excited!

Am I the only one who really likes Leo facial expressions? They're always interesting, like when they used the T-sub for the first time. His look when the periscope came down was priceless to me. lol

That aside, that was great. It's obvious that he still does have a crush on her...and I find it entertaining for some reason.

Ugh. I need the new episodes now. I honestly don't think they're ever going to cure Karai's mutation. I think that they'll just have her be a shapeshifter, with the eyes and the fangs not showing anymore. Her design looks a lot like Alopex and the other snake villain from the '80's show (Can't think of the name.)

I think my ONLY complaint is Karai's mutant arms. I would have much preferred humanoid arms. I'm definitely intrigued by her ability to shapeshift however.

I can't wait for more episodes! This show gets better every week.

Emotions can be unstable when something happens to your child, adopted or not... he just saw the child he raised for 16+ years just get turned into an animal. Evil or not, that parental instinct still kicks in...


There are so many good things to say about this episode, and so many questions I have now about how this is going to affect the relationship between Splinter and his sons, his emotional state, how he's going to treat Leonardo after this..

I don't remember the Leo shot, so it looks like I've got some reading to do... but if the new season has them in Northampton, I'm very excited.

Shredder wants to take away everything from Splinter and having losing Karai makes it worth less without her. He seems to have no one else in his life but her.

I agree with this, but he still seems to have a problem with taking responsibility for his actions.

I wonder if the result of mutated Karai's shape shifting abilities was the result of Baxter Stock accidentally dumping some chemicals into another.

Which resulted in that side affect.
