I´m big fan of B:TAS, but the turtles are not as important as B:TAS, so it will be still Batman.

I got to thinking about it and it's strange, I actually think I'd be a lot more traditionally "feminine" or whatever you want to call it if it weren't for TMNT. I have nothing wrong with that, but when I was way younger I was mostly into horses, alpacas, plush, dolls, etc. Something about TMNT really caught my eye and opened me up to a whole new world of media that I probably would have never known about since it wasn't marketed towards me. It's weird to think about how one little incident like that can really change the way your life plays out. I mean maybe something else would have come along and opened my eyes to so called "boy's" toys, but I was pretty content with just combing my plastic horse's hair or dressing up my dolls at the time so who knows.

If I had to take a guess, I'd probably be bigger into MLP and Hello Kitty than I already am, or just cutesy shows/merch in general. Actually, I'd wager to say I'd be a huge Monster High collector since I've always liked monsters and all that. If it weren't for my toy money going to TMNT mainly it would surely go towards MH. I wonder if there's an alternate dimension where I'm a huge MH fan posting on a MH forum about how my toy money would go to TMNT if MH didn't exist....

My big number 1 show would still be Kamen Rider, doubt that would change

It probably goes like

Kamen Rider > Super Sentai > TMNT > Ultraman > Godzilla > Doctor Who

I just hate the fact that my number 1 show's first appearance in american was...uggh...Saban's Masked Rider. it was a sickening show. Thankfully, I had already forgotten about it about the time I actually remembered shows with relying on "nostalgia." God, could you imagine? THAT show as your nostalgia.

TMNT isn't my #1 fandom anyway, but if it didn't exist I'd probably be spending all my money on Digimon instead of dividing it between TMNT and Digimon.

Speaking of Digimon, there's going to be a gathering in Odaiba August 1 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of adventure. Odaiba Memorial Day and Wada Kouji will be there. The tickets are all sold out and I have to work. T_T. If I'd gone I would've tried to get an autograph for my Bokura no Digital World cd which is rare now.

My second favorite has changed throughout the years...

Spiderman and Batman from a very young age. I once had all of the Amazing Spiderman comics as far back as issue 57 with a dozen or so earlier ones and a ton of Detective comics (all of which I sold in my early 20s).

TMNT - from 84 till around 89 when I graduated high school.
Then mostly SW for the majority of my adult life until only a few years ago when Nickleodeon bought the franchise and the IDW series was starting. I had a huge nostalgic awakening remembering how much I loved those early TMNT years and the cool dark and gritty atmosphere of the original comic series which led to a renewed passion for the franchise, comic collecting and now a bit of customizing and dioramas which I've just recently been enjoying.

Hey, another RPG gamer! Awesome! I've been into them since my late teens when I was introduced in high school. And like you, I skipped 4th ed D&D completely. (And probably for the same reason.) I got into Mutants and Masterminds, White Wolf Games, SW RPG, Spycraft, D20 and D20 Modern, Pladium's Rifts and Mystic China, and a few others.

Spider-Man has been a long-time favorite of mine as well, as have the X-Men. Both have been favorites of mine since the 90's animated series. And once I got into the comics (thanks, JMS and Peter David!) my love of all things Marvel, and Spidey and X-Men in particular really took off. Not so much with Batman, though I LOVE some of his villains.

This one would be high on my list too! I just recently started collecting the DVD's. It's just such a great story, as well as having some of the BEST characters in animation! I also loved Transformers as a kid, too, so that one would be up there, too.

It's always been Superman. TMNT has never been my absolute main thing, just way up there. Basically, I like it a little less than things I liked before it, and more than anything I've liked after it. As others have mentioned, TMNT kind of came along right when He-Man was drying up - although both officially came out the same year, the TMNT only broke big right when the He-Man hysteria was at its tail end - so it kind of filled that hole for me, too. If there hadn't been TMNT, or if I hadn't gotten into it for some reason, I probably would have put my energy towards getting all the He-Man VHS tapes that had been released up to that point.

That's an amazing thing that's happening. Wow. I hope to see photos some day, that'd be more than enough for me.

Usagi is my #1 fandom so... but it's quite handy that there are crossings between it and TMNT, and if TMNT didn't exist, then I'd just have even more money to plough into stuff by Stan Sakai and David Petersen heh...

and America can't even get nice things, it's suffering being a digimon fan here. have to put up with a low quality dub and practically beg Bandai of America to localize the videogames.

By what standard? Sonic Generations was great. Haven't played any of the ones since, but that one was great.

I heard Lost World wasn't too good. Never played it, so I can't confirm it for myself, but... the controls seemed really wonky.

You're right about the latter, but not the former. I'll defend Digimon dubs until I die.

I flip-flop between Marvel and TMNT as my #1, but if TMNT never existed I might have gotten into gaming, and maybe anime, at an earlier age, because my next fave shows on FoxBox were Sonic X and Kirby: Right Back at Ya, which don't hold up quite as well as TMNT, of course.
