I don't have problem with Venus as an idea for a character. Why? See my signature.

However, I don't want her in Bay's movie for one simple reason: whatever they do to her it most likely will turn rather horrible. Especially her design.

On the other hand they at least will have excuse to use TURTLELIPS.

It really depends on how they portray her. The NT version had a lot of potential but was lost in the campy, dumb sound effects.

I think Venus could be a great character if given to the right person, is this the particular place I would want to see her? No, I think the Nick version would do her better justice.

In fact, I'm praying they bring her into that show...I wanna see some one take this unlikable character and make her awesome. Just like with Raiden in the MGS series.

I've always felt that you've got to be a pretty open minded person to accept the Turtles in general. I mean, it's already pretty damn ridiculous to begin with.

4 baby boy turtles fall into the sewers of New York and are turned into humanoid mutants by a strange chemical who grow into teenagers that have been taught ninjutsu by a rat that has also been mutated into a giant rat, by the same chemical, that learned ninjutsu simply by mimicking it's human owner when it was just a "normal" rat living in Japan. I forget to mention they all know and speak English with no prior education?

Yet, it works and we all accept them. But, a 5th turtle that's a girl and uses magic? "Pfft, that's just dumb..." riiight. Never mind how goofy the '87 cartoon gets.

I'm not exactly being all serious here, but really, just seems like Turtles fans would have a pretty large suspension of disbelief. I sometimes get the feeling a large part of all the Venus hate comes from it being the thing to do. "Everyone else is saying she's stupid, I better too."

Now, I have already said Venus was poorly executed in Next Mutation. But the idea, the idea of Venus ain't bad.

And that's really what is being asked here. There is the potential for Venus to be used in other TMNT series and be done well.

Having said all that, I've got no dog in this fight and I too would like to see the aforementioned meltdown if she was brought into other TMNT series.

Pfft, at least if they did that, they could CG some actual emotion onto VenusFox's face.

Myself, I understand that changing the guys' backstory and having Venus come in and defeat the Shredder once and for always annoyed the fans... but I don't think Venus deserves nearly the level of hate that she gets. I kind of feel sorry for the poor kid; nobody loves her! She's probably one of the most-loathed characters ever.
