No offense, but most'a you guys wouldn't have made it three months back in 2004 or so. People were AIM-stalking people and creating fake accounts just to fight. You kids have no idea. The whole place went down in flames for a while before rising like the Phoenix because people just needed it.

The people who have been here the longest are assholes because they've entirely run out of patience for bullsh*t and nonsense, and it's why so many newer people feel like they're being "hazed" or have to "earn" their "spot". That's not entirely true, but this place was like f*cking "Battle Royale" at one point, and people who can't take at least a little tough love aren't gonna last. It's that simple.

Absolutely zero of that was exaggerated in any way. Not one word.

Cartoons. Politics. Religion. George Bush. Iraq War. Gay Ninja Turtles. Jim Lawson. April being a drawing. 9/11 conspiracies. Faking the Moon Landing. Any and every f*cking thing. This place got so bad, they had to go all "Pat Garrett" and have Grunger Kittie become a Mod and reign in some of the chaos, and he was almost as bad an influence as *I* am. Before he cut his hair and sold out.

F*cking daily anarchy. It only sounds terrible. If you were quick of wit, or just a huge asshole to people, you got by. In some ways it was fun. I don't exactly miss it, but oh man, the laughs. Some people got so bent they'd "Quit" while making long, dramatic, "emo" speeches, before coming back an hour later because they just couldn't resist reading the comments. People got so personal with their arguments. It wasn't exactly funny, but oh man, this pace got dark sometimes. But it definitely tempered a lot of the people who stuck around.

But their biggest feature is that they are excellent swimmers, and even today certain rivers have warning signs that kappa is living there. Also the saying "even the best makes mistakes" there is one regarding the Kappa: "even a kappa can drown"

Their also very honorable creature, so a trick to fend off a vicious kappa is to bow, cause they have to bow even lower then you spilling out the water in the bowl they have on their head, making them powerless. It's never wise to take a kappa head on as they are very strong despite being cild sized and love Sumo fighting.

But, the kappa also loves human flesh, particularly children. And they eat your soul (a glowing orb which name escapes me) through your anus. A tradition in feudal Japan was to write your newborn child's name on a cucumber and throw it in the river to the kappa, as a pact to not eat the child. The Kappa loves cucumber more then human flesh.

Yes, I cherry picked the article, as others had covered much of the above. The thread hadn't mentioned the rape of women, so I brought it up.
