I dont often agree with CUBED, but this. definitely this.

i thought this as I read the reviews on Twitter. but I do dig the fact, that as a standalone film, Turtles or not, it was entertaining. For a summer blockbuster, that isnt a bad thing.

Luckily for me, I usually don't share the same opinions as NinjaPizza, I actually don't even know why I follow them anymore.

I am not interested in the opinions of people who are hyper focused on having certain things from the past be copied into this movie.

I'unno, sounds like if you like CGI more than plot, you'll love it. If you genuinely don't care about SFX, it sounds like it's mediocre. The story sounds really butchered from what people are saying.

I mean... Evil Superman vs. Clark in the junkyard was amazing... but Superman III was still a terrible movie. The few uplifting things couldn't save it as a whole. Now, this doesn't sound anywhere near that level - I mean, they'd have to seriously be trying to make a bad movie for that to happen - but it does sound like another one of those movies where they plotted the fight scenes first and just scribbled together a story to link them together. It sounds like a lot of things I enjoy about the general TMNT mythology have been minimized or wiped out. And it doesn't sound like it was replaced with anything better. "Different' isn't better, just for being different. I know some people think it is, but I disagree. "We don't need Hamato Yoshi." Really?

I don't know, I'll see it eventually. Just really kinda bummed out. The wife's pretty pissed, so I think the chance of seeing it in theaters just went from slim to "hello no". Eh, DVDs are cheaper anyways.

She's had a problem with it from day one. I wouldn't put a ton of stock in her reaction or issues with it.

I guessed the movie would get some praise. Since the writers for the movie participated in numerous critically acclaimed movies. The creative part is definitely the one suffering since that department is controlled by Micheal Bay and Jonathan Liebesman who are very similar in how they do their work.

If you ignore a lot of what the TV shows actual plots are and how Mikey looks like, you should be fine. Kind of like what I'm sure Transformers fans did or tried to do with those live action flicks

Meh, I'll give the film a try if. I actually did enjoy the first live action film of Transformers. Maybe the new films will improve as the series goes on, I'd like to think they can focus either on the entire group or each turtle later on down the road.

Looks like the movie is feather light on story and heavy on action, and as I can't stand the design choices done for the Turtles, Shredder, Splinter and the Foot. I'll probably get little to none enjoyment out of it, maybe with the turtles interaction and if I can spot some actual martial arts technologies and not just performance arts.

If that's the only reason you aren't going to see the Movie, then I don't know what to tell you.

As I think someone already pointed out on here Green Lantern got rave reviews from people tweeting at advanced screenings and look how that turned out.
