Mutagen Man has always been a fan favorite toy though, everyone remembers him for one thing.

Again, in your opinion. It would be just like me saying, Ace Duck is a fan favorite just because he was a favorite toy and character growing up. I still love Ace Duck and would love to see him in another incarnation but at this point it's just a wish.

I love Mutagen Man returning, but as a kid, I was the only one within my friends who liked him, same with Muckman. But I would never definitely say without certainty which character is a fan favorite because otherwise it's just speculative and presumptuous.

The one thing I love about the Nick show, is that Ciro and team is that there taking aspects from every previous incarnation and so far it's wonderful. I'm just going to enjoy the ride and it want to bring back previous characters, wonderful! I won't be complaining.

Only because Casey and April taking care of a kid makes everyone seem older than they ought to be. I actually would not be surprised if some version showed a future version of everyone and Shadow was involved.

It's an interesting character concept, it's just that you can't explore the character without having everyone in the series be "too old" based on the "Unwritten Rules of Comic Book Storytelling", which clearly state no main characters be shown as older than 30 or else become too hard for the target audience to relate to. So I think she'll be used again, but only in a "flash-forward/possible future" scenario.

I think a lot of the secondary villains from the 2003 series will be forgotten; a lot of them were fairly generic and left little lasting impression.

Indeed, only Hun and Bishop really stand out. Unless you count Ch'rell as seperate from Shredder.

The other characters in 4kids were from Mirage, so they didn't have too many original characters.

I kinda feel like they put all their initial ideas towards Shredder and then Ch'Rell, and once they were mostly done with that angle, there wasn't as much effort put into the rest of the villains.

Not a unique problem to that show, though. The OT mostly had them fight Shredder, Rat King, The Fly, and after that, a bunch of guys in suits.

Oroku Nagi, outside of the mirage comics he didn't appear in any adaptation. A least Kazuo Saki is regarded as Oroku Nagi. It'd be cool if both of them appeared in IDW and/or Nick toons as well, but is quite hard to be possible.

I just got a shirt for my birthday that had a crap ton of characters on it. Looked like they just printed an Archie comic on my shirt. Wingnut and Screwloose, Jaguar, even metal bebop and Rocksteady were on it... mondo gecko.

Not that this means anything of course because most people would have no idea who half of them were if they looked at my shirt.

90% of TMNT characters have fallen into obscurity, and will eventually descend further and further into the annals of history, some perhaps even falling to the mists of time. For every much-loved Mona Lisa, there are several Justins, Halfcourts, and Howies that will gradually fade away, never to be heard from again. Even though some may be dissapointed that the likes of Armaggon have yet to be witnessed once more, instead witnessing the likes of Biotroid trotting across the screen and on toy shelves, one day, when a devoted fan becomes part of the process, they will likely return, as the dozens of Biotroids, Dumpjumpers, and Raptors fade even further into the darkness of time. In the end, only the best of the characters live on.

Do we? Many people disliked the Punk Frogs. They all acted the same and were too naïve and unintelligent to be taken seriously. They're fairly memorable, though, even though for not good reasons.

I wonder if we'll ever see characters form the Red Sky seasons again. Dregg, Carter, Mung Titanus and his mutants, Krakus, the aliens from that episode in season 8, etc. could be brought back in some way or another with a bit of rewriting.
