Man everytime I hear Pete Ploszek talk I think 'The Perfect Leonardo'. I mean it just sucks what they did to him, I refuse to believe it's his acting. Because it's his emotions that they captured through his face and body not Knoxville's.

Wow, he was sitting on the outside of the group having to do an interview on national tv and watch a clip with someone else's voice it's awkward as hell. The guy has my respect for the way he seems to be handling this, I hope bigger things happen for him.

No matter what you think of the movie and other casting choices, those guys were perfect.

agree 100%, people keep talking about starting petitions on stupid crap for the sequel, the only petition should be for Pete to voice Leo, which I think is a huge possibility.

The reason I think it would be a possibility is if you watch the Knoxville interviews he's not really into it, and maybe the production can save some coin by not paying Johny-boy.

He really does have a very calm and zen demeanor, even to his voice. Much more fitting as Leo than Knoxville's gruffness. I think Knoxville did fine, but I think Pete's voice would have fit better. Either his vocal performance fell really flat, or he just flat our got screwed. I hope it's addressed at somepoint officially.

They really did a great job casting them. I'd love to see who else was up for them though...just for curiosity's sake.

Quite simply, I love it. Worked on various parts of it's development for 4 years. We had the right director for the project and you can clearly see Michael Bay's hand in it. I'm so proud of it and am glad the fans have responded so favorably.

Thank you very much SupahMinah. My all time favorite turtle portrayal is the first TMNT movie, present film and Nickelodeon animation aside. Cause I love both of those.

Nate Best (CBM): Kevin, you mentioned that you just got back from a screening of the new film. What did you think of it?

Kevin Eastman: Well I’ve been so lucky… When Jonathan Liebesman came on as director, he called me almost day 82 of his helming the picture and he wanted to have me involved and try to represent all things Turtles. He said he wanted to make the best Turtle movie that relates to the old and new fans. So I worked with the writers, fantastic writers, Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec, on early versions of the script. I did character designs. So I sort of have been lit for the last 3 ½ almost 4 years, and I adored them film. I think the film was representative of most like what Nickelodeon did with the new animated series; it sets a foundation a platform that they can tell all of the stories from a new Turtle universe and embraces the old Turtle universe. I was thrilled. I’ve seen the film several times. It was great to see it in a fan-based audience. Those are the types of stories where I really want to see how they respond to it, and I loved it. They seemed to respond really well. The fans are the ones that give me the greatest job in the universe. They loved the film and I sincerely look forward to making another one for them, so I’m pretty psyched.

Not that Mr. Jackass was bad as Leo, he was actually believable but I feel bad for Pete. Plus he hangs in there like a champ to do all these interviews, where none of the other turtles got replaced. His performance deserved to be in there.

Does anyone know why they replaced him with Knockville? Purely for name recognition? Or was it because from what I've heard Johnny's kids are fans of the new Nick show and he asked to be apart of this film?

Meanwhile Pete put in the work, is obviously a fan of the franchise, had the visible chemistry with the rest of the guys, also had an introspective / intelligent voice that's perfect for Leo ... and his performance gets yanked from the film?

My cousin is the biggest TMNT fan that I know of, and has been since childhood. I remember when him and his brother first introduced me to the turtles in the early 90s when they showed me the original movie. Right now, his entire room is full of TMNT stuff. All year he’s been excited about the new movie.

Unfortunately, he suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy and is no longer able to go to the movie theaters. He cannot move from his bed and has to be hooked to a ventilator and feeding tube. This has made it impossible for him to go see TMNT, and he has been asking me for months if there is any way for him to get to see it when it comes out.

Last night he actually got to watch the movie, via an iPad + HDMI cable sent to his house by Paramount! This all fell into place when I thought about posting this to reddit to see if anyone would be willing to help out. I decided to message the r/movies mods beforehand to see if this was appropriate, and to my surprise one of the mods, /u/kleinbl00, knew someone who had worked on the movie and offered to help out! Because of him and his connection, I was able to get in contact with Paramount corporate in order to make this possible. - harpster604

Stories like that always bring a smile to my face. This may not have been the TMNT movie we were all hoping for, but at least the guy in the story enjoyed it.

I remember a couple years ago a terminally ill Star Trek fan got to see Into Darkness almost half a year before it was released... he died a few days later.

The Marketing has started here in the UK now as I saw TMNT movie toys are on sale in toy shops.

Sadly I haven't seen any Movie Posters or the trailer when I went to see the movie Into The Storm today.

Under spoilers as they are big pics.

I was not sure where to post this, but I'm pretty sure this counts as promotion. Paramount and Nickelodeon will release the film in IMAX 3D theaters for a limited one week engagement beginning September 12.

I caught a tv trailer just a few minutes ago and the London buses are starting to have posters on them. And so it begins...,
