So, that definetely showed that there's still some rivalry, imo. At least on Donnie's side.

And the way Casey looks at Donatello when April kisses him he's like "What's she doing kissing you?" And that's the first time he's been present for an Apritello moment. I think largely he had been around the lair to suspect that Donnie had feelings for April. And this moment just confirmed it for him. Donnie is just gloating when he says April kissed him twice.

Yeah apritello whatever, don't mind it. But I'm just taking it as this is where Donnie and leos tension may start building even more, and we'll no doubt be gettin some awesome Casey and April fight scenes

If this episode is for the purpose of creating possible tension between Leo and Donnie I'm all for it!

What's your theory as to how this episode could possibly do this?

And why would you gloat in front of someone, even saying their name? Because you think of them as your rival. In love at that.
So yeah, I still think Donnie is jealous of Casey's and April's friendship even though they get along now. That doesn't mean that I'd condemn that, it's only natural. You can be friends with a person and still be jealous of them, especially if you like the same girl/boy.

I wonder what makes Don so very jealous?? A Capril kiss perhaps?
(it was would be AWESOME if April chooses someone in this episode and ends the love triangle before season 3 starts )

I think it'll be more innocent. Casey asked April a few times already if they could have a real date, maybe he tries again and Donnie overhears it this time.

It's probably because they spend a lot of time together, socially and at school too which is making Donnie jealous.

Also I expect Donnie doesn't know about Irma hanging round with them too, so he probably thinks it's just April and Casey alone together.

I don't think it'll be Mona. I've watched an interview she did, she doesn't sound Mona-y. But I look forward to seeing what she's got for us, she's a proper fangirl and she's seems quite pally with Ciro.

I would love for the film actors to show up or have a cameo. Although would they have to use Johnny Knoxville instead of Pete Ploszek?

I hope this is a serious episode dealing with the love triangle.....cause i'd rather have an all out romance episode and endure this one last time, then have it drag out all through season 3.

also I'm a little disappointed....April gets kidnapped again???

I still stand by the speculation that Donnie/April/Casey is going to mirror the Hamato Yoshi/Tang Shen/Oroku Saki triangle.

As Splinter did say in season one, Oroku Saki let himself become consumed with jealousy about the fact Tang Shen had chosen Hamato Yoshi.

And I feel the last time Splinter intervened there was the underlying purpose of preventing Donnie from inadvertently wondering down a path that could destroy him.

So perhaps we may see another Splinter intervention in this ep as well. Or maybe him telling Donnie "If you love her has much as you say you do, then you must learn to let her go."

I do like the idea of one love triangle mirroring the other one and how it should have been resolved.
And of course I totally agree with you that Donnie needs to accept April's decision, should she choose Casey, and get over it. All I'm trying to say is that such feelings as jealousy don't go away over night and that Donnie shouldn't be put under such pressure. Such things... take time.

At least 80s April got kidnapped usually because she was doing her job. Wrong place wrong time. Even this April is feisty and tries to fight, so I just don't and can't see either as a damsel in distress. Damsel in Distress = Peach to me. Not April.

With that second leaked story board. I think that's Donnie actually doing just that...telling April goodbye.

It seems like he may have made one last effort to get his feelings across to April and it didn't get the reaction he wanted. And of course after the upcoming loss of the lair, the near loss of Leo and possibly the near loss of Splinter. Donnie probably felt that he emotionally could not take another loss so it was better to be up front and let April know he's not going to be pursuing her anymore.

IDK Casey's already the "bad boy" so making him the jealous jerk would be kinda obvious if you ask me :T

hmm makes you wonder....do you think Oroku started off being good friends with Teng Shen first? Then Splinter rolled in like Casey and stole her heart?? (which could have made Oroku furious)

In previous series, the Shredder has given the Turtles or a Turtle an opportunity to side with the Foot Clan. We do know brainwashing is possible since we saw that brain washing device that was put on Kirby in season 1 and there could be some foreshadowing that a Turtle could be brainwashed as we see Raph try to put the device on Mikey.

And yes Shredder technically wanted to brainwash the Turtles by turning them in mindless snake mutants. It is possible that the Shredder could learn of Donnie's feeling for April and do something to force or play off the jealousy such as the brainwashing device. But magic had it's part in the TMNT series. It isn't as prominent as science, but it sounds like this Spirit is introducing magic to the series. (Technically Mazes and Mutants introduced Magic, but that was more like the power of illusion)

To date only Leo and Donnie have gotten dark versions of themselves. Donnie in the OT and Leo in the IDW. Could it be possible we will be seeing a nick version of Dark Donnie. Or will Nick do a dark version of both Donnie and Leo?

Maybe that was what was being foreshadowed with Raph trying to put the brain washing device on Mikey.

Raph is also possible, but he would be harder to deal with in a dark state. Take back to the sewers where Cyber Shredder brainwashed the Turtles into serving the Foot. When April and Casey tried to restore the guys memories Donnie, Mikey, and Leo were restored almost immediately and Raph had a harder time coming back.

And the same was true in the mazes and mutants where Leo said "Don't believe and the magic won't have any affect on you." Donnie immediately follows Leo's direction and Mike chants "Leo says it's not real." But Raph has a harder time
