I think that if she does have powers, It's not the same as April's abilities. While it could be possible that she could be a half-Kraang/ Half Human mutation like April is. After all I don't think April's mother was the only pregnant (supposedly pregnant) the Kraang has experimented on. So there could be other people similar to April wondering about.

However I hope that is not the way they are going to go with Irma, it would be too lazy to have every human Character tied to the Kraang. All we know
is she has powers that Ho Chen did not understand.

And since we have seen nothing to give us the impression that Irma is not as human as she seems. Perhaps this could be something entirely new and made up for this incarnation.

Well, it's curious that the school that April and Irma is attending, had Krang infilterating as teachers, maybe there is more than just April that might have been experimented on. Heck, maybe even Casey. He sure can take one helluva an ass whoopin and not get seriously hurt. Really, some of the falls he has, a normal human would have had a few broken ribs by now.

Oh yeah, I am getting sick, literally sick, of the burp jokes. It's cute maybe once or twice a season, but not every episode. And I really detested Mikey having a huge belch before blowing himself off screen. It's just so stupid. This is beyond juvenile humor, this is stuff that super drunk college kids do at the dorms. Maybe that is the target audience now for some of these episodes.

This episode was sort of okay. The most annoying thing about it was Don vs Casey. I swear this is by far the worst episode that handles this issue. It's nice that they worked together eventually but for the most part, they both just got on my freaking nerves. Don is such a pawn to April and Casey was so clingy. Irma's line where she wonders what she sees in him (not sure if she is falling for him yet) makes me feel like she needs to be in this show more often. Is it weird that I like Irma more than April in this show?

Nope. I too prefer Irma to April. I just find her more interesting by comparison.

Edit: Forgot to ask, but what exactly happened to spark the jealousy in the first place? To me the triangle thing has been pretty low key. We have situations where Donnie doesn't react to Casey and April hanging. What made this time so different?

So I finally got a way to watch this new ep through my mobile. Boy did this cheer me up. I hope I didn't disturb any fellow patients with my goofy, super happy laugh.

Anywho, time to get down to business.

At the beginning where Casey, April, and Donnie were searching for Karai and Casey and Donnie were arguing did feel highly out of character for both boys. I would expect showing off for April during a non-mission situation, or in a casual one, not this. I was expecting, though, more to the jealousy thing, but it really wasn't.

The hug Casey gave April and Donnie breaking them up was weird, but I wonder if he reacted because of the look on April's face...if he saw it. Other than that, that was totally weird to me. I just couldn't see him doing that normally. That felt OOC too.

I loved Raph's "What kind of friends are you?" line after Donnie told them that the y ran into the Purple Dragon.

Oh I loved Mikey for this ep, like how he joked some but was serious at the same time. He's still lighthearted in nature, but he's in pain over Splinter. I love how he was trying to think of places where snakes hang out.

I enjoyed the Purple Dragon gang for this ep. I liked how Ho Chan addressed them, and speaking of him, I thought he was funny, like how he did the "L" for loser thing to the Purple Dragon. Oh and the yellow jumpsuit joke was funny. He also came across as being purposely over the top and maybe incompetent...so I kinda feel that the power stuff he sensed with Irma was bogus and assumed she had power because she was brought along with April.

Oh, is it wrong that I was expecting an OT style joke as to why Ho Chan could speak English despite being from ancient China?

Sucks Irma missed the turtles, again, but I hope Irma calls BS to the bump thing because the ice rink should be damaged still. Oh and at this point, I'll agree that Irma doesn't care for Casey much, given her, "I don't know what you see in him" statement. When the girls were kidnapped, I did laugh at Casey's "NOOOOOOOOOOO" and "noooooooooo". Obviously played for laughs.

The fight in the tornado was really nice. TBH, the elements suited the turtles, I felt.

I like how Casey and Donnie worked together and April getting the final hit in was great. I really liked April in general for this ep. Her fighting skills have truly improved.

The end with the peace hug felt so cheesy.

I wonder if Ho Chan is going to come back in some way. What if the Kraang discover it? They are underwater somewhere.

So, overall this ep was ok. It had plenty of funny moments for me, but I will say the negative was how overly exaggerated Casey and Donnie were. Wormquake felt more natural, but feel it was done on purpose to get it out of the way. I couldn't see this going on during actual serious plot moments, like when the Kraang invades, Leo's beat down, and them fleeing the city. There'd be too much on everyone's minds to have Donnie and Casey mindlessly bickering over April.

Oh, one more thing. When Donnie pointed out that maybe Karai was gone for good, I was expecting Leo to say something like, "No, you're wrong!" but Mikey spoke up instead about how they should continue searching. Very interesting, imo.

So I guess that's Irma's power. Using her would've made him fully human again as opposed to partially with April.

I haven't seen the episode yet as I'm waiting for Friday. But to me, perhaps Irma's "powers" are her powers of being perceptive such as when she comments on April's relationship with Casey and how she's always been brutally honest about things. That's just my guess on the whole thing.

The story felt odd. There should have been more emotions because of Karai.

It felt like some random filler episode.

I love the movies and I liked the episode 'Enter the Dragon' but otherwise, the show is your typical Nickelodeon garbage.

I liked this episode. It was really good, but it's not in my top 10 because this show just has so many amazing episodes (the only one I can find nothing to enjoy in is Pizza Face). I like Apritello, but the love triangle just really annoys me. It didn't feel like something Donnie would do, trying to pull Casey and April out of their hug. But I thought April's annoyed face while he was doing it was pretty funny.
I thought Ho Chan was a very fun villain. I was expecting one turtle to ask, "If he's from ancient China, then why does he speak English?" and for another to reply, "Because we couldn't afford subtitles" because that's a joke I love from the OT. Missed opportunity not saying it.
The animation was amazing in this episode. I've loved watching the show gradually get better and better visually. And Mikey was great this episode (in most of the past few episodes, I've noticed his humor has gotten better for the most part). His line about thinking of where snakes hang out actually was a clever joke, opposed to his stupid "What if cupcakes could talk?" jokes from the season premiere.
Loved that April is getting to be a better kunoichi. I just wish that part of her was focused more on instead of the love triangle. Pretty dark the way she stabbed Ho Chan.
I wonder what Irma's power is. I don't think it will be like April's, because Ho Chan said he couldn't understand what hers was and asked her to explain it, whereas he knew the power April had. My mind's blank. I can't wait to see what's special about her. I really like this version of Irma. It's funny that she's not nearly as clumsy as OT Irma and doesn't go crazy over boys, either, but still feels like the perfect Irma.

Eh, it was a decent episode I guess, at least they actually mentioned Karai. Donnie and Casey are really annoying though...didn't they go through this exact same thing in Wormquake/The Manhattan Project? I was at least hoping that Irma would finally meet the turtles.

It would seem we're all pretty split on this episode.
For those of us that don't like it as much as others it could have to do with the long wait and this being the first thing to come on.
I find it easier to handle episodes that really don't have much to do with the story when they come right after a big episode giving a lot of the plot away.
This long breaks between episodes are really a buzz kill btw, I know they really want to stretch the show out but it would be great to just play it all and be done with it.
I know it's been said to death but I've not said it before so I'm adding my 2 cents as well.
I am happy the shows back though finally and now on to Dimension X!
