Thank you! Man, that sounds pretty depressing.

Will post my thoughts later.

So in this series humans didn't evolve from a common ancestor with apes, they literally were mutated from apes. I'm surprised they touched on the evolution vs. religion aspect in a kids show. I wonder if any angry soccer moms will complain.
I'm a little more baffled at the logic here, so if the Kraang have been trying take over Earth since the dawn of mankind (and keep in mind, they're from a dimension where one year is an undefined number of decades, so it's even longer for them than us) why haven't they come close to conquer it until now?

Granted they are presented as being rather stupid seeing how many of their plans don't really make sense or are even done in a very effective manner. Having your leader run around, randomly shooting mutagen with a gun is hardly the optimal way for spreading it across the planet.

Evolution is nothing more than change over time.

But considering that New York City is so woefully underpopulated, I'm not too worried about it. Maybe the Kraang are the reason why there aren't that many people running around.

Maybe they intentionally reduced the population after an invasion attempt against monkeys and apes failed. A bit of a Planet of the Apes reference; maybe Dr. Rockwell will play some role in stopping the Kraang?

I'm not too worried about anybody in the hospitals when the power was cut, either. There might have been one guy with a bruised knee and that's about it.

The season 2 final was my favourite episode so far, it was amazing, emotional, intence. It had lots of action, loved the music and the special effects. I was in tears at the end.

Leo's One Shot fight at the construction site was amazing and intence loved the music throughout, it made it more powerful. When Leo fell into the water, I Loved the animation of the steam coming off of Leo’s body, the water, and Leo’s breath, it was so realistic. Then his adrenaline kicks in to fight the henchman.

Splinter (and Leatherhead) vs Shredder fight was great and was more emotional (especially at the end). When the metal pipes fell on Splinter (Ouch!) and then Shredder was about to kill him. Leatherhead saves him and fights Shredder himself and he has him in his jaws which was pretty dark.

Moments
Irma is a Kraang droid robot!
Tense moments between Leo and Donnie as they are argueing over plans to stop the Krang invasion.
Kraang invade the lair, lots of action, Leo gets hit by the pin ball machine, Ouch!
Mikey fighting droids in the and aww ICK helps Mikey.
Splinter tells them to run and Leo's hesitant,
Poor Donnie hurts his arm, loved how Leo completely trusts Mikey to take care of April and Donnie.
Mikey using his nunchaku to fire the Kraang guns.
Donnie tries to tell April on how he feels but April cuts him off
Kirby having a nervous breakdown
Loved the pan shot out of the apartment on the Kraang invasion
Did that Kraang die in the Lair, he got squashed.
"Stop hiding behind your Footbots and face me, Shredder!" That challenge is one of the bravest things Leo has said.
Kraang Prime and starts using mutagen on everything. Pigeons get turned into the Mop Mop creatures.
Earth Protection Force! Bishop anyone!
Kraang droids shouting out, Exterminate, Exterminate, reference to the Daleks from Dr Who
The rage on Leo’s face during this fight scene
Raph and Casey make it to April place and Mikey hugs Raph, Awww
Leo crashing thru the window in slow motion, love how the camera shows Donnie, Raph and Mikey’s shocked reactions.
Raph carrying Leo
Mikey throwing a sofa out the window shouting “this is for my brother!”
Kirby gets mutated again! that was unexpected.
Aww ICK didn't want to leave the freezer.
When they were in the Turtle Mech, I Thought they were going to destroy Shreddes lair.
The fight with Kraang Prime was great.
Karai's back and she saved Splinter.

Emotional moments
Splinter looking at a picture of his sons.
Leo badly injured, Raph and Mikey holding him in their arms.
Raph looking at a picture of Spike
Raph having an enraged moment when Shredder throws Splinter into the drain thing.
Mikey calming Raph down and hugging him was emotional
In the van leaving New York, April leaning against Casey, Donnie blaming himself and Raph has his arm round Mikey.

2 of my favourite moments

Can't wait till season 3.

Small thing that I noticed or think I did: Aprils design looked more detailed

Especially her hair. In previous episodes to me it's always look less realistic than like caseys. It didn't look like it had detail, the strands never overlapped, and it almost looked plasticy? Like it had a glare to it. But in this episode her hair is detailed like caseys, moves more like hair, and I don't know, just I thought it looked better?

Maybe I'm seeing things hahah

Great episode! I loved that Mikey was a bit more mature and the Mikey and Raph moments were great. But that Leo one-shot was by far the highlight of the episode for me. I only wish they had Leo actually take on Shredder, but I was still satisfied enough.

The only really big lackluster for me is when Raph was calling Shredder a monster. I was really hoping Raph was gonna somehow break the cage down and attack Shredder with his brothers.

Overall, favorite episode of the show, even beating out Vengeance is Mine.

Whatever happened to airing it on tv. I know it will eventually but why is nick suddenly blowing their load early putting it online and for free. Doesn't that affect tv ratings?

I think the movie played a bigger roadblock than Nick let on. I feel they planned on airing these episodes way sooner than we're getting, but there was a mutual agreement between certain parties to let everything run it's course first and then pick up where was left off.

This appears that they'll bite the bullet on ratings on TV to put them on the website, which they'll still get internal ads and revenue for sponsors there too. Plus the fact people can watch it over again only bumps up the ads even more for Nick. So in the end, Nick probably makes out better this way.

It turns out to be an everyone wins situation, it's a nice gesture from Nick to the fans after the extended wait to see the episodes a week earlier, plus Nick gets that I previously mentioned.

The whole episode has been updated in quality since the trailer. It was still a work in progress back then. If you look at the paintings/photos in the O'Neils' flat, they're no longer multiple copies of the Donnie and Mikey photo in Donnie's lab, they're individual paintings. Also they've added in more effects like smoke.

Kirby says the Party Wagon is back from his "hipster" days.

I feel that could spark a debate or two.

That also doesn't make sense. If Kirby was at least a teenger in the 60's....wouldn't he be like 60 years old now? People are forgetting this show takes place in 2012-2014, not the 80's or 90's. How could Kirby be a teen in the 60's and drive a van and not be old in the year 2014?

Who says this show takes place in 2012-2014?

Did I blink and miss the real Kraang Invasion that hit New York City last year?

LOL, what? Of course the show takes place in modern time. Every cartoon is largely based on the real world year, just like the 4kids series was pretty much based on 2003-2005 in the real world at the time.

His hipster days don't have to be in the sixties, hipsters were also present in the seventies and there are hippies still to this day. So just because he says hipster days it doesn't specifically ment 1960's or 1970's. As far as we know there could have been a phase of his life when he did want to try life as a hipster.

Maybe he was talking about the Woodstock of 94.

Anyway in most cartoons, they randomly pick the 60's when going back to a parent's flashback and use the 50's when going back to grandparent's flashback.

It's kind of a cartoon trope.
