Sounds like it will be an awesome episode. And I also like the idea that Leo won't be magically healed for the next one and will spend some time still recovering. I was afraid he would be healed over by the next ep and have a time skip as has happened before.

Sounds like a great start to season 3. Can't wait to hear Seth Green's Leo. Not sure what the guys are in for outside of the city, but I bet there will be some very memorable episodes. Hoping a few of these will have some New York scenes so we can see what Splinter and LH are up to from time to time.

Know what I hope we'll get? The scene from the 1990 movie, but with opposite roles- Raphael slumped in the chair watching over injured Leo.

You know what I am hoping to see. Remember when Splinter was getting beat down, well, when re-watching the episode, it was kind of shocking how Raphael kind of knocked April out of the way like she was nothing, it was a good thing Mikey was there, because he probably prevented her from being slammed up against a wall or falling altogether. This is also the first time April has seen Raphael's anger and rage, normally she just see's his sarcastic side. With that in mind, in the comics, when April would start writing in her journal, as well as in the movie, she makes a mention that Raphael would often be up top the roof of the house or barn, watching out for everyone, but for the first time in her life, she was actually terrified of him.

I'm just wondering if him shoving her out of the way so hard might come up later on in the season. We know he didn't mean to hurt her, it's just he gets in that particular mode and she learned her lesson real fast, either be quick on your feet to be around him like Mikey was, or just stand back like Donnie did and keep out of the way.

Actually in the movie, Raphael didn't knock April unconscious at the subway, it was a Foot Ninja.

for this medium though, seems Donnie would be the one watching over Leo because he blames himself for what happened to him.

Actually, I thought it was Mikey that worried her during that time in the comics, not Raph because he was very unlike himself.

I don't expect it, but that would definitely be the bees knees. It'd prolly have to be a subtle nod, though, as I don't even think IDW can reprint that story.

I wonder what they mean by Leo not healing? Out of it from what happened? Or emotionally wise like what happened with the 4Kids series? Wonder how Seth Green will handle those scenes? They'll be an emotional roller coaster ride for him.

Raph of all turtles being the first to get caughtXD I'm sure it's out of anger and frustration he didn't see that coming but.

Can't wait for it though.

Yeah, these Purple Dragons need someone to whip
them into shape. I can't help but think that the writers might make them a more serious threat as the series progresses. Feels like we got a small taste of that in Chinatown Ghost Story. I can see Hun showing up and making them more formidable at some point. He's one of my favorite characters alongside Bishop.

I can also see Donnie building a make shift ventilator out of stuff from the barn. Maybe there are serious moments where Leo's body starts to give out forcing Donnie to resuscitate him. And each time it's harder and harder to get his heart pumping again, which also starts taking it's toll on Donnie's sanity.

I don't imagine him eating or sleeping all that much because he's too stressed to do either.

Maybe a moment where April takes Raph aside and tells him to keep and eye on Donnie because she fears if they lose Leo, they would lose him too.

And perhaps seeing one of the Turtles, if not all three of them breaking down.

Maybe that buried secrets episode is the Turtles accepting that Leo is gone, his body is still alive but he's in a coma so he won't suffer when it happens. So the episode is has the Turtles all using the opportunity to say good bye to their older brother while he's still alive. April then notices that Leo is reacting to the voices of his brothers and says that Splinter had once told her the voices of loved ones can bring people back from the brink of death. So the Turtles start recalling moments that had just been between Leo and them. I can see Mikey going first since he likes trying new stuff, I can see Donnie and Raph being more hesitant about it for their own reasons. Perhaps April has her own memory that is just Leo and herself since Splinter isn't there.

This show has made me cry too many times now. I can't wait for season 3 but I don't know if I'm going to be able to handle the upcoming episodes. Too much!! I remember the first time I saw the 1990s movie and couldn't think straight for weeks... Had to watch it over and over again just like 'The Invasion' D:

I definitely hope Mikey loses some of his optimism or let's his guard down and Raph comforts him.

I still think Donnie is going to be the one to break down.

He blames himself for being unable to stop the invasion weighing on his mind.

He blames himself for Leo's condition.

He'll probably keep thinking about what he can do about the invasion.

He'll probably wonder how to reverse the mutations the perfected mutagen caused.

He'll probably have Splinter on his mind.

He's probably going to be worried over keeping everyone safe, like how he was with April and Casey in Wormquake. Maybe he'll fix things around the house and stuff, like in the comic. In other words, I think he'll feel responsible for everyone's comfort.

Oh and he'll probably feel bad over the whole Casey x April dynamic, so that'll weigh on his heart.

So yeah, I'm kinda waiting for a breakdown with him showing in some way.

So Raph already has barely anything to do for his character (arc-wise/etc.) and (in my opinion) he's appeared weak (or at least not that essential to the stories, etc.).

And now, in the first episode, he gets himself captured?

Wow, that's a great start for him in the new season

What, will he appear even more weak and Mikey or Casey (or both) have to save his sorry shell? And make him seem even more useless?

As least Don will have the 'guilt over Leo' along with the whole 'April & Casey' thing.
Mikey calms folks down (like with Raph).

What has Raph accomplished? What is Raph's purpose? Zilch and nothing and nada. Just him being Useless, and on top of that now he gets himself captured like an idiot in the first episode? Once again, 'great' start for him. (Sorry about the little rant, but just had to vent).
