Wow I wrote not long ago how season 2 wasn't written good and I know it had its points after a perfect storyline in Season 1 but tonight ep got my hopes high with all I seen. I just hope they tone down how much big stuff happens to new york meaning to keep that realistic normal human feel of life without the world being so alien and acceptable to what happened like the humans knowing everything.

I can't believe how hardcore the shredder fighting was. I loved it its was so bad ass the intense fighting and not holding back I loved it!

My thoughts exactly. If Nick keeps this up, especially the violence, this show might get canceled. I remember a few years ago there was a report about Teen Titans being a very violent kid's show. It makes me wonder if this isn't on at 8:00 PM for a good reason. Cartoon Network is showing Adult Swim at 8:00 PM, so maybe turtles is considered a teen show and not for kids anymore.

Yeah it was like Kraang Prime was saying "I just kicked your *** and I own you mother ******s!" She might as well of said that.

This reminds me of a more ****ed up version of "The Shredder Strikes Back" from the 2k3 show.

Beating the **** out of the turtles and Splinter, destroying the city, establishing a creation via mutagen bull****, and then before that ruining Irma's character.

That was just all kinds of messed up... hope there is a real Irma still and they simply fooled April with a fake.

And here I thought she was finally gonna meet them. *sigh*

Pah, suck it up. The world is full of violence, this one is nothing in comparison. Kids today are not like the wimpy past (like those stupid parents censoring the word "ninja" and banning nunchuks, etc), they can handle it and watch/play more hardcore things nowadays.

Ciro and his team are doing great - he pleases the kids and growing adults fans alike. Win-win situation.

I doubt there will be. Playmates Toys doesn't want to make any normal female action figures other than April, and with boys as the target audience, yeah we're not getting a normal Irma.

^ This show just jumped the shark, and this is coming from a fan of TMNT for over 20 years.

This what I was saying the second I heard about the show being moved to Friday nights at 8, it was due to it being a bit more violent and dealing with heavier themes, and it airing at 8pm, the soccer moms really don't have any arson to fight this with.

I just got finished about 30 minutes ago from watching this on TV over at my cousin's house. She's 30, and has 2 little girls, one's 10, the other is 9, and the 9 year old loves the TMNT as much as I do, and she really loves Mikey. I'm first going to say, she got so pissed off, just when the Leo showdown started, it switches to a commercial! She was so mad! "What? COME ON!" But, before that, she wasn't happy about Irma being a robot. She actually was upset with that one. I told her not to worry, the real Irma was kidnapped and will be saved by the Turtles. I sure hope Ciro and co don't make a liar out of me. One other thing that pissed me off, and it might have just been in my area. The part where Splinter gets thrown into the drain and Raph starts to go berserk, they freaking cut right in the middle of that emotional scene for a freaking commercial, and a long break at that, so, when the show came back, whatever emotional punch that was there, was lost because of the abrupt break in the flow.

So, another one who wasn't thrilled with Irma not being a normal girl meeting the Turtles. I think Ciro and co dropped the ball on this one. They may have thought it was clever, but it's just something people in the majority are not liking, and it may bite them in the ass.

If that was the case then they wouldn't be replaying it Sunday morning.

I agree, the soccer moms can't really say anything, because this is on opposite of Adult Swim. So in that way of thinking, this show is safe and pushing the envelope on content is probably acceptable.

Yeah, there were some bad moments in putting in commercials. I didn't care for that either.

Splinter basically got flushed down a giant toilet, and for all we know, Karai might be planning on eating him, but I hope that isn't the case.

Cut to commercial here, too. I get that shows like this like to cut out at tense moments to keep you tuned in, but doing so with some scenes just, as you point out, kills it.

When they're on the other side of those bars though, reminded me of that one scene from the new movie. Minus Leo being there yelling "Dad!"...

Edit: I swear, given the generation any soccer moms now would have grown up in at this point, if any decide to flip out... >.> Traitors to their generation's media... Soccer grandmother's on the other hand...

Bah. Kids could handle it fine back then. And we did! It's the parents who think they have to shelter their kids from anything violent.

I was expecting the turtles to turn this around and save the day like in the season 1 finale. They didn't. This episode is one giant kick to the ***s.

Here's hoping we will finally get the Shredder vs. Agent Bishop fight that 2k3 didn't give us, sometime in this series. I'm guessing that EPF in this episode pretty much confirms Agent Bishop.

I sure hope they aren't giving us false hopes with this. Bishop was my favorite villain in the 2k3 show, and he could have so much potential here.

I think people must grow blind or something as they/we age and lose track of what we had and were fine with vs what we think is ok for kids now. After all, even Ren & Stimpy was a Nick show. Not sure they've had anything as bad or worse than that one in the years since and we loved the damn thing. lol

Nah, you have to remember, this is Nickelodeon. The channel that thinks Sanjay and Craig and Breadwinners won't screw up their senses of humor (nothing but cheap toilet "jokes"), the channel that thinks The Splinter and Pet Sitter Pat are just OK episodes of SpongeBob to put on the air. Seriously, this would be the very least of their concerns if they even cared, and I doubt a parent group is going to get together to say "Down with TMNT!".

Agent Bishop is also a favorite villain of mine.

Also, not to turn this up to an even weirder level after the 2-part episode, Casey and April alone away from civilization might lead to an off screen turning in of the v card.

Yeah, I was very young when my dad took me to go see my first R-Rated flick. Aliens. I think I was 8. The first movie to ever scare the crap out of me as a kid, go figure, I was 6 and it was Gremlins. But, my parents told me it was all fake and not to be scared. My cousin does the same with her little ones, lets them watch shows like The Walking Dead and Games of Thrones, because she already taught them that it was all fake and make believe. I guess the over protective parents would just take the easy route and cover the eyes instead of sitting them down and letting them know the difference between real and fake.

Ugh. I don't want to even think about that crap. It was funny enough way back in season one , when Donnie came busting out of his lab and goes to Leo, Mikey and Raph and says excitedly "You wanna know what April and I were doing in my lab??????" And their worried blank stares spoke millions!

lol, I had forgotten about that.

Back on the violence in the show though, I remember Toys R Us having a huge display (might have been in more than one area of the store, I guess) featuring The Hunger Games. So if that movie is acceptable for younger viewers, then TMNT has nothing to worry about. It seems it is anything goes, as long as there isn't blood in the fights, and only robots get slashed to bits.

Kind of reminds me of Samurai Jack's use of oil instead of blood, with robot enemies.

Leo's scenes remain me a lot of the 2k3 episode. I like the part when Leo told to his enemy "Face me, Shredder". Leo has matured as a leader.

I don't know how Leo is going to react when he learns that Master Splinter is missing. Poor Leo, his shell is damaged like Mikey stated. Also, I liked the scenes when Mikey calms Raph; I was waiting to see this for long time. Mikey is the heart and soul of the team. He is compassionate towards others. Donnie will affected of what happened to Leo. He was about to tell April that he in love with her. But April ignore that. She chose that Casey already.

I'm disappointed that Irma was a Kraang and not a real girl, and also Kirby O'Neil was mutated again.

Let's see what happen up in Northampton.

Best episode of Season 2.

I gotta feeling they are going to go back and forth with this until the very end, just due to the fact that Apritello is bringing in a whole new fandom for the franchise. When Rob Paulsen is actually asked that and the way he comments on it, I just think it would be a really bad move on the writers to scrap that whole thing they have been building to try and get back to the comic roots. Let it play out and let the fandom have some more fun with it and give them something to look forward to for a few more seasons before closing the door on it.

Cool

I thought the finale was well done, the battle scenes were exiting. Leo was a true leader in this episode and Mikey was a good supporter of Raph. What will become of Leo I the next episode? Maybe we can see Donnie's Turtle Mech in action again. The events with Leo are similar to the 2003 turtles. Looking forward to the new season
