Maybe a Battle Nexus Tournament sort of deal? He loses one of the big fights despite being the strongest and learns to cooperate with his brothers more so than achieving his own personal targets. Learning to become more tenacious.

An episode where he has to be a mentor. Leonardo's quite the tutor but I think Raph would struggle there because he's well aware of his own failings to act rationally.

Think Donnie and Timothy, but with a less annoying Timothy. Hopefully.

I am with some other posters in being very confused. How did Raph become a plant and why didn't he have his intelligence or memories? Was Raph double mutated in a way, or he was made a normal turtle and then mutated into a plant? It wasn't explained well enough. And the turtles still being so surprised and caught is strange. They have been trained as ninjas for years and should have MUCH higher awareness of their surroundings. And how did Raph go down without a fight? This is the guy that fought Slash one on one.

And the Creep.....did he see his reflection in the water? A mirror? Why is he so focused on covering his face? Why does he want to hurt or infect people instead of being a good guy? Why does the Creep seem to worship the mutagen or mutagen bottle? I would think that the Creep would have thought of Leo as his father or creator, there should have been some recognition of Leo since the mutagen that created the Creep came from within Leo himself rather than the bottle. There is still no explanation as to why the mutagen turns so many people or things evil instead of good. I thought it was an okay episode but there wasn't nearly enough explained.

Well, he sort of had that mentoring role in this latest episode trying to get Leo back on his feet, which I liked. Hope to see more of that as episodes progress since they're both going to be healing from their wounds.

Hmm. I have no desire to rain on anyone's parade, so I won't go into what I didn't like about this episode. I'll just say that I've always liked the fact that 2k12 was irreverent towards the franchise's history, so it's been a bit disappointing to see so many references to previous stuff in the last 2 episodes.

That might be interesting. Another could be about his insecurities.

I had a idea while back of how april's teacher ends up living with the turtles and gives them an education. Every one was a little turn off at first but they all eventually warm up to the idea because each one had a subject that they were really into except for Raph who was acting out like any insecure kid. The teacher realize this and resolve by showing him that it's normal to have a little trouble in school.

Just seen the ep.
Seth as Leo. Uhh... I keep thinking 'Oz', lol. I really liked Jason Biggs as Leo (and with Dom, most of the time I could barely tell the diff). Seth is okay though, and I'm sure 10 or so eps in, and I'll be used to the change.

Why not have the whole arc where he is the Shredder for a time being, or it was him that was involved in the City at War arc instead of Leo? (The Purple Dragons is the best scenario to bring out the best in Raph, since he is supposed to be the street smart guy) Why not have an episode where we meet Angel and he takes her under his wing, kind of like Donnie did with Timothy, and helps her to become an important person in her community? Maybe they can rip a page from the IDW book, and instead of Casey, bring in someone like Keno, and his father could be like the Hun character taking charge of the Purple Dragons and abusing Keno and Raph steps in and helps out there. Raph is not just the "tempermental" one of the group, I thought they were trying to emphasize how he is the protector. Well, let him protect dammit! Either be it him bashing skulls, or training someone to help defend themselves, or just guiding a troubled kid down the right path instead of the wrong one. Lets show case his street smarts and that he does have an understanding and knack for the mechanical (like maybe finding an old motorcycle in a dumpster and fixing it up without anyone knowing, and then, he decides to make up his NightWatcher persona)

Great episode. The part where April was running from The Creep while he slowly shuffled after her but he still managed to catch up had me laughing my ass off.

I didn't have a problem with the whole Raph thing. It was weird and a little silly, but I'm used to that by now from this show. I just shrug and say "Well that happened".

I think the most disappointing thing from this episode for me is Leo's reaction to Splinter's 'death'. I feel like it's a copout to have him say "OH HE COULD BE FINE" when in reality Leo, as the leader, should be looking at the possibility that they'll never see Splinter again. I know he's been through a lot lately and just woke up, but I wanted to see him sad.

Otherwise, good episode. I'm cautiously optimistic for Seth but won't judge yet, as most of this episode was him sounding exhausted.

Ki ki ki ki ma ma ma ma...

I loved that episode. Hope The Creep finds another hockey mask when he gets out. I agree with others the Raph part was weird. Seth will take a little getting used to.

This. It's like they are running out of ideas, so they are just straight up copying scenes and scenarios that were already done, but are just swapping characters. I have no idea what the thing is with Raph though. They had to throw in the part where Leo is now the one watching him at the end or something? Wouldn't have been better if they did what happened in the comics. After the first half of season three, Raph starts to get impatient with wanting to go back to NYC, he and Leo fight, Leo loses. Raph then goes back, and then he tries to go after the Shredder and he is the one that falls this time, and then we can see Leo trying to help him recover, and now both of the best fighters of the team have basically the same beat downs to overcome.

Whoever does the music for this show doesn't get enough credit. The normal score is great to begin with but he/she always knocks it out of the park when doing specialized scores like this episode or Chinatown Ghost Story.

So, when are we going to see Raph without his mask on? And when are we going to get the cloaks and the get up that was in that book? It was kind of neat to see Leo in nearly the whole episode without his mask. Makes you realize, they really don't need them to distinguish the characters.

...Am I the only one who heard it that way?

Annnyway, I enjoyed it mostly for all the Friday the 13th and Evil Dead references down to The Creep's overalls having a 'Voorhees' logo on the front. It was fun.
Nope, definitely did not hear it that way...but I will from now on... =w=

As a long time horror fan, I loved it. The references to the F13 franchise, including the music (not just the familiar Ki ki ki ha ha ha part, but the reference to all the music in the early instalments) was a pleasant surprise. It kinda distracted from the bizarre voice change.

Not the first time the boys heads went there. There is still that time when Leo, Raph and Mikey were watching TV when Donnie comes flying out of his closed up lab, and goes "Want to know what April and I were doing?" And the other three were very silent, and had those looks on their faces like they were a bit afraid to respond.

An over all decent episode, but there is one thing that bothered me beyond belief: Raph got turned into grass, drained by the Creep and he both survived, and was turned back to normal?

I'm sorry, that whole fakeout was ********! BULL. ****. ********! ********!! ********!!!

The turtles assume Splinter died from being flushed down a drain (he didn't but that besides the point), and Leo is still broken after three months but Raph having been transformed and drained can get cured right away with no side effects? No, just no, this bad storytelling.

You can't make episode that starts out explaining the serious consequences of the last one, have the episode center around the character who got hit the worst, have one of the characters seemingly die and then have him come back as good as new at the end.

*pats you on the back* It's ok, maybe in the next episode we'll find out it was just Leo having a bad dream, like Mikey in the Pizzaface episode (am I really supposed to expect Mikey will eat a rat, considering his master is a mutant one?????) Sometimes this show is great, and sometimes it's just effing awful. This episode managed to do both at once!

That. I am so with you there. I was thinking about how City Fall is the big new thing from the comics and how I'd love to see it translated for this show, but it'd be nice to see it done without Leo. Perhaps, instead of looking for a true leader, Shredder could be looking for a face-beater and Raph would be perfect for that. The issue I see is that if he was going to go through all that trouble he might as well just to it to Karai to get her back.

As a fan of Leo and Donnie focus, I am starting to get annoyed at the lack of good Raph episodes. I'm hoping that when Karai finally pops up he can be somwhat of the mediator in that, considering their past.
And bringing Angel or Alopex in the show could also add a cool dynamic for Raph. Not necessarily a romantic one, just more cool interactions.
