I liked this episode, although I didn't care for Raph getting turned into a sort of plant-like creature. Maybe just have him being stuck inside the Creep instead?

As for others wondering how the farmhouse had electricity and water, the family likely had a generator stored out in the shed whenever there was a power outage, and that's how it is running the place. Alternately they could be using Kraang power crystals too.

As for water, nobody here has heard of pump wells to get groundwater? That's what many people use when they aren't tied into the waterline of a town or city.

And the chickens? Sometimes you can buy laying hens from a local farmer. Casey and April likely went to get them, and buy the feed in town.

Wow, what a great episode! Loved the original movie references, plus everything else! Really enjoyed Nicks take on a horror story.

I can get on board with Seth Green too.

I expect Donnie fixed the electricity, don't forget they did have electricity and running water in the lair

It was just Baxter and his hand. I'd imagine they'll replace the hand with Bebop and Rocksteady at some point.

As far as the episode... bad fan fiction. That's what a high quantity of references and a low quality of writing will get you.

How was the quality of the writing low exactly?

The farm is an isolated area. Miles from civilization, remember?

Maybe, for example, the whole 'Raph/plant/quick ending/everything to do with Raph in the episode' thing that even fans of the episode have complained about, for starters.

well...to name a few...(at least my problems)
Spoiler:
1) Donnie worrying about April and Casey when Raph is gone (priorities)
2) Raph turning into a plant. What?
3) Donnie giving Leo mutagen medicine to drink just so theres an excuse for the Creep to be born (I thought we all learned mutagen is bad. unless it's a cure...but that would turn Leo into a turtle turtle)
4) Why are they watching cartoons when New York is being taken over? shouldn't they be watching the news?? (this should be public to the world by now)
5) 3 months have passed and the Kraang haven't taken over the world yet? I thought they perfected the mutagen?
6)Raph getting better by pumping the mutagen back into him?? o_O huh?
7) how can Leo be out that long in the first place!? can anyone be out that long without being in a coma???

I'm kinda getting tired of all these movie/game references to tell you the truth......

When did that happen?

I'm assuming it was, he just finally woke up from it.

In some ways it would have been interesting to see much more of how everyone dealt with his 'absence' and how the pecking order restructured itself in the meantime. Though on the other, main hand, I'm glad he woke up in the first one of the season, would suck to have him pretty much gone from it for too long...

having 2-3 episodes with Leo out of commission wouldn't have hurt, so we can really get a sense of how long it's taking and how much the turtles have to deal.

IDK I feel like they missed an opportunity.

just cause it starts out mutagen and still has mutagen qualities, it can be made into other stuff, rat king made the psychic chemical and growth serum from it so making medicine from it isn't that out there

The point is, Donnie shouldn't just start making things from mutagen and giving it to his brothers with how unpredictable it is.

it didn't even help Leo, it made him worse. Which is why I'm saying it's just a ploy to make the Creep, because it's main purpose, which was to help Leo was useless.

as for the Rat king...he took a crazy risk and experimented on himself cause he was crazy.

I just feel Donnie should know better...and be a little more careful.

Likewise. Though at the same time personally his part of the finale was also painful enough to watch and then the week wait to see if he'd even wake up in the next and be ok (not to mention a little apprehension over the impending voice change)... Seven days can drag on so long when they want to.

I agree...it would have been good to have an episode where the Turtles are all dealing with their new surroundings. Donnie was leader while Leo was out of commission so why not focus on how he's doing with that. Particularly since he was beating himself up about the end of the invasion. I mean he slipped into the role easily because it was needed, but once Leo is awake he's back to being a follower again.

It would have been better if they had been their a couple of weeks, the Turtle's are talking and then one of them notices that Leo is reacting to their voices. And perhaps that could have lead into more development, maybe give Dom a few last hurrah moments as Leo in flashbacks before Leo wakes up.

Wow, so the mutagen sucked out of Raph was actually a nod towards The River storyline? Pretty cool.

Leo's new voice was kinda suprising. He matured a lot.

The episode wasn't super good, but at least it wasn't bad, and wasn't completely stupid like the first half of S02. It seems like this series is getting a bit darker, which is pretty cool.

I knew I wasn't the only who thought that the Creep was this series' version of Bloodsucker. You don't think that they're going to try to do their version of Sons of The Silent Age?
