This is an example of a mutant of the week episode done right. At its core, it was just another mutant of the week episode.

But everything else about the episode was done so good it didn't even matter.

Tell me about it. I got Direct TV, and I went through this crap because of Fox. I am missing Gotham because of it! Either way, it's their loss, not mine! And I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you with my conspiracy theory. Forgive me.

Get the fox app. It has both episodes of Gotham up and nothing is required.

Wish the government could smack these companies and get them to behave.

And nay, it's all good. Not like I haven't see these episodes on tv already anyhow. The Nick.com thing is just weird/annoying that they choose to do this. The Ghost Story one is not locked, go figure, just the newest ones, so you're prob right about it being a ratings thing, and maybe Comcast is giving them the cold shoulder and refusing to play along.

As spooky as this episode is, hope they have another one on Halloween since it's on a Friday. 'Course, our luck they'll prob just repeat this one instead since the kids won't be home to watch. Would love a Halloween themed 'special' though.

yes! I just don't see how she can be so ninja-like in such a short amount of time.

I'd rather she not be a fighter and be good at something else. (while only using basic fighting as a defense)

About Halloween, isn't Robert Englund going to be voicing a character in the near future? Something to do with nightmare beavers? That would be a good time to show that.

Well, the episode was okay. I didn't find much bad about it, but I didn't find much amazing with it either.

Raphael and Leonardo's segments with each other and the bits about how they coped with their "new" lives were the highlights for me (Mikey's expressions when Leo was waking up was pretty much me during that scene), the horror stuff . . . less so. I got the references, I just wasn't particularly interested in them or how that whole thing was set up. The Raph turning into a flower and Don's cure just made me lukewarm on the whole thing.

I like Seth Green as Leo. Won't miss Biggs that much.

If this was based on The River, then they really did screw that up. At least in the original story, Raphael had a chance (and badass moment) to get revenge for what was done to him. But nah...the show can't let Raph get his moment.

Could have at least had Raph do Something as payback and/or to Help out...

Considering the shot of the glowing jar in the ending, maybe he'll get his chance in a future episode.

Maybe it's not as much of a "filler" episode as some think, kind of hard to assume that based on the first one of a new season in a new location. TMNT has to have their enemies and maybe this first episode established one in this location that might be back to haunt them.

I don't blame raph fans for being angry at how the ep turned out but come on, stop complaining about it!
it was just how the story was written and plot wise, it would've happen to any of them but would've messed up other parts of the script

granted, there is always room to improve on how raph parts get written in future eps

Who wrote this episode? Maybe they need to step down from writing if they can't write Raphael in a good light.

Also, is Mutagen.....like their blood?

I know it was a plot point in the new movie that they had mutagen in their blood but it seemed like in this episode they implied mutagen was all they had in their veins.

Strange.

Sounds like it. Agree it's odd, and kinda just came out of nowhere... no reason it should be in the Nick Turtles, they weren't injected with the stuff like the movie.

Now that I've caught up, I didn't get this episode.

Somehow taking the mutagen out of him turn Raph into a plant?

And at first, I thought they adopting that green monster episode from 2003 version. And I was thinking "Out of ALL the episodes in that show, you picked THIS ONE?"

As for Leo's voice... eh. I don't know why they even bothered mentioning that it changed. It's annoying on sitcoms when someone mentions to a recurring character, suddenly played by a new actor, looks different

I thought I was the only one who noticed. Well, get used to it, the dude became executive producer and head of the writing team, and he is a huge fan of the horror genre, which is explaining all of the horror movie references all of a sudden. Like Raph would say "oh Crud!"

He's head writer on season 4, right?
