Yeah. The only person she might have been able to talk about this with was Karai if the mutagen accident didn't happen.

He's not a person, but she could always sit down Leonardo and ask him questions. He himself was comfortable enough around April for him to be asking questions on his feelings of Karai, maybe April might do the same thing. Raph is definitely out of the question, Mikey is still a bit immature about the whole thing, and Splinter probably would stop her talking just to protect his son. Leo though, is level headed and mature, and could give her some advice, as little experience that he's had in such a thing. He probably has as much experience as April does.

Eh, I hope it's no vision quest. April could have a number of reasons for the sudden change in heart. One-Casey does something stupid. She either comes across his picture in his phone of the graffiti of her and Casey, and she just might get pissed at it. Two (more than likely) someone finally spills the beans that April has alien blood, her whole background of her pregnant mother being abducted, and that might turn Casey off from April. He may not mean it, but he just might say something to her that is insenstive. Three, it's very possible that Donnie now has accepted that he has no chance with April, drops the whole thing, and starts to act like himself around her. Not shy and goofy, but mature and taking order of things. Taking apon himself to fix stuff up around the farm like he did in the Mirage comics. Some girls don't realize it, but they might find the take charge kind of guy a bit attractive. Four, if Donnie does stick his neck out to protect the Bigfoot, that's something else that might have won April's heart (in Harry Potter, it was Ron's all of a sudden worrying about the Hogwarts elves that finally made Hermione fall for him, stupid stuff like this works!)

At the time Donnie was confessing she felt it was a bad time, because one there was a lot going on. In Donnie's mind he was wanting April to at least know so that way if anything does happen, he at least has let her know his feelings for her. However for April there were two problems with that. One was Donnie needed to focus on his family and the situation at hand so a confession could cause more distractions then it's worth.

The other problem is her father was also in the room. Since Mutation situation her father had been very protective of April, he even had trouble letting her go see the Turtles even though he knows he can trust them with April as they had kept her safe the entire time he was in captivity.

And we do have that moment in the Gauntlet where Donnie tells Mr. O'Neil that his daughter was very nice. And we see Mr. O'Neil get a look as if saying "What...?" So a mutant turtle confessing his love for his April on top of the invasion would not be all that welcome. I mean we can assume that Kirby is obviously smart enough to have some idea that both Donnie and Casey are not just April's friends they are April's suitors. And it is possible that he potentially could be one of those stereotypical dads that don't like the idea of their teenage daughters dating or getting involved with guys. But as people have pointed out there is something that isn't all that kosher with Kirby, but we don't know exactly what it is?

With the story board,
Well we are given a clear impression that Donnie is saying "You've made your choice, I accept that as your decision. I won't pursue you anymore because I don't mean anything to you."

And April is telling him "You're not just a mutant, because you do mean something to me."

So after she goes back into the house, he says "I understand nothing..." I take it as him believing that he has no real clue where he stands with her. So he isn't sure if she loves him back or she's leading him on, or if she is confused between her two love interests, or she's just calling him "Her mutant" as a way of saying he's her best friend who happens to be a mutant.

But in April's mind she is saying "Don't give up on me, I haven't decided yet."

As nice you've have put for April, all of this seems to me to be more of a excuse for the writer's to drag on this infested sore for another three seasons or five seasons.

Realistically, I couldn't see this being fully resolved until the end of the series as a whole, and maybe have this open-ended and let the fandom form their own headcanons.

I just wish they just let it run it's course like Adventure Time instead of postponing it like a never ending sitcom.

If they can make it less of a focus in the future and focus instead on individual characters then I wouldn't mind it so much.

Yep. Kind of reminds me of the whole Hermione/Ron from Harry Potter, or maybe even the Max/Liz/Kyle/Maria/Michael/Isabelle thing from Roswell. This stuff didn't finally come to a close until the finale.

In a way Donatello and April had always been destined for each other. Because they compliment each other in many ways.

Both in personality, intellect, and color wise.

OT Donnie had an apathy towards humans, but even he liked and respected April as a big sister figure and friend.
And they do assist each other in finding ways to solve the problem.

Also in Donatello's double there is one moment where April does say "If Donatello's gone bad then there truly is no hope for this world."

In the 2k3 Donnie is implied to have a short lived crush on April. And since April is more in a scientific frame mind frame then her previous incarnation, both Donnie and April have something they can bond over. Which has added to their close companionship, and they do become eventual business partners as Donnie and April do start O'Neil tech together. (I know Casey is a founder too, but I think only in the sense of being a figure head since not because he had much to do with the company itself)

And in 2012 April has been aged down so there is more probability of the two of them being couple. Including making April a non-human.

One other thing to point out is Donnie's color is violet or purple. But April is shown wearing yellow. Yellow is the complimentary color for purple.

I'd rather she fall for no one too, but I don't know how much longer I can take Casey and Donnie's bickering over April.

Who ever doesn't get chosen will just bide his time until April changes her mind, because how could she choose THAT GUY?!?

Just have April chose Donnie. End of story. He saw her since the first ep. Casey didn't come in til season 2. Late to the party jones.

I like how everyone saying 'I hope April makes her choice' when they really mean 'I hope she chooses Casey already'.

Team Donnie all the way. Even when Don is trying to break it up with her and step back April reminds him there's still something there.

I'm sorry but that's not how it works. In shows especially cartoons nice guys always finish last. April would of course pick, "bad boy" Casey Jones over "nice guy" Donatello.

That's how fiction works. The girls always choose the "rough and tough" guys over Mr. Nice guy.
