Oh boy... the show is going to add time travel (with Renet) on top of its plot amnesia?

That could amplify the problem even further if this time traveling is a reoccurring thing. Even worse than complicating the plot lines, I really, really hope that they don't try to mess with the whole love triangle thing in regards to the time traveling aspect. Otherwise, it'll be as complicated as following soap opera romantic relationships.

As for Renet being a potential love interest for Mikey, meh... it seemed overdue considering how inclined the show is toward forming, and especially reinforcing, their romantic crushes. With Mikey, Leo, and Donnie all having their crushes, it seems like only a matter of time now before Mona Lisa or Ninjara shows up for Raph. Considering the sizable following of those two (Mona Lisa and Ninjara), I'm sure somewhere at Nick, someone is advocating for their inclusion into the Nick show to boost sales and/or popularity of the franchise in its current state.

I look forward to seeing a Mike/Renet relationship. I just hope its not a really conflicted one like Don/April and Leo/Karai. I'm so tired of relationships like that. Mike seems like the open book honest how he feels type and Renet seems like she could be to, they could be the free spirited honest lovers type. If they're both bubbly and happy, maybe they'd fit together easily. I hope so.

This, for the love of cheese. Since every turtle needs a love interest in this show apparently, then at the very least give us one where there is no drama. Just fluff and adorable. The last thing I need is Mikey acting love sick and annoying like Donnie or just having...complications like Leo.

Ninjara all the way for Raph if he's gotta have one, too. Strong personality, kickass, and all around interesting.

I hope they take Ninjara in a different direction or put a interesting twist on her character. Like for example, instead of being just a fox person, which the comic never explain how or what they are, Ninjara could instead be an actually a kitsune. Like the kitsune in this series are a race of people who have soul of a fox but born trapped in a body of a human, so physically they're human, but psychological they are not.

If/when any of the Turtles has a relationship that happens, I'll be curious to see Splinter's view/reactions on it.

He might know April well at this point and trusts her, but what does the protective father side think, and then likewise this time traveling human that may well just barge into their lives.

Oh nice observation. I was thinking about Splinter reacting to Renet the other day. I suppose I see him as the type to be overprotective where Mikey is concerned. This kid has already been deceived by Bradford. He's got a good heart, but he is far too quick to trust sometimes. Not that it's a bad thing in some situations. If it hadn't been for Mikey, they probably wouldn't have gained Leatherhead as an ally. I bet Splinter will be a little apprehensive at first, but he might let his hair down after a short time. I think Splinter knows when to step back and to trust the judgement of his sons. Not that it's very easy to do so. But he seems like he's getting there. Then again, he might have more difficulty doing this after they're all reunited. I know I would be jumpy if my family had just gotten back together and were all okay after a near death situation.

Yeah, this is how I see Splinter too. I think he will be a bit apprehensive at first about the whole thing but then will see that his son is happy and be fine with it. I'm just excited to see Renet and what she'll bring to the show.

I wonder which one would show up first, or at all? Mona Lisa hasn't been seen in a TV show except for that one episode, so long ago. Ninjara has never seen her cartoon counterpart actually being introduced. (I think Ninjara having some sort of connection with Tigerclaw could be awesome)

I hope Mikey falls for her gradually, but if that picture of him with the heart eyes is really a sneak peak to his first time seeing her, then it will be love at first sight too. I hope she respects him and they become close friends before romance. I still can't see Mikey romantic, so I can't wait to see how they deal with that.

As for Raph, I don't know Ninjara, but Mona Lisa would be interesting since she was a human female at one point. What if she is romantic with Raph and then becomes human again? That would be interesting to see. I get a strong feeling that Raph would freak out and run from the relationship if she were to become human again. Whatever happens, I believe Raph will be the only turtle to get an animal girlfriend.

I'm not really counting Karai, because she started out human and has been mutated and will most likely be restored to herself, or partly herself since they have to keep some form of mutation in her if she is to be with Leo as his girlfriend...but that is a whole other thread.

Maybe not. Maybe it won't be like that for him. He might get like that because of the fact she can time travel and super impressed....like how he was with Bradford.

But yeah, if I had to choose between Mikey or Raph being put into a potential romantic situation, I'd prefer Mikey over Raph. Mikey is so adorable and goofy and seems, imo, to be the most confident in himself in comparison to the other three. I'd just find it more interesting. In other words, I could see Mikey not trying to overly impress someone he likes and act like himself more times than not (unlike Leo or Donnie). Personally, I'm hoping Mikey is oblivious to even liking her. You know, he's fond of her, but doesn't fully understand how or why.

I dunno, I just think the writers can probably have a lot of fun using Mikey in this situation given his personality type.

I was thinking it would be more along the lines of Bradford too.

I think when Mikey loves someone it's out there for all to see. He doesn't shy away or pretend it isn't there, which is why I love him so much. I think it would work great if he's fond of her but doesn't understand how or why, that is perfect for him. It would also be refreshing if this romance storyline would be more fun and lighthearted compared to how Leo and Donnie's have been so far. I also would find it hilarious if Mikey ended up being the first of them to be successful at love. Raph's reaction to this romance will also be fun, unless he's Dark Raph at the time.

I've wanted to read the Archie comics, but I'm not sure they have them in a collection or if I have to get them little by little. I'll have to look into that.

I really liked Mona Lisa with Raph because they seemed to fit together well. She seemed to handle him well and he seemed to like her. I also think it works because she is sort of a rebel too and she's a brain, which would be different for Raph. I can't wait to see how things work out for the guys. Hopefully, they will get a happy ending and not just some loose ends that are left hanging.
