Oh my God, I hope this means Wolf will come back as dlc too. Mewtwo was my "main" as a kid, he was cut from Brawl so I went to Wolf... Then neither made the cut for 4... I'd like one or two newcomers as dlc, but I wouldn't mind if just cut veterans are dlc.

So that part of linking both versions to get a new character turns out to be true, and Mewtwo was one of those.

Does that mean playable Ridley, Dixie, Chorus Men and Impa are still coming? They even gave Ridley a stock icon when he battles alongside you. I can easily see them making him a little smaller and making him playable with DLC.

I mean his model is already there

Ridley probably has a full moveset and everything, now. And now that we know they can add a character from scratch, like Mewtwo, it's probably all up to consumer demand.

But the 8-player matches was the biggest bombshell, to me. I thought they might maybe do five. Good lord, I can't wait for that chaos.

Yeah, it was good stuff. I like even matches a lot so that was nice to see.

I'm not looking forward to half the challenge board being Smash Tour stuff, however.

I'm actually concerned that all DLC characters will simply be old cut characters. Mewtwo, possibly Wolf, Lucas, maybe Ice Climbers, etc.

Ridley would be so easy to make playable now. His model is done, he has a stock icon, he has "some" moves that could be easily adapted to playable. Just make him slightly smaller.

I honestly wonder if Ridley can still be playable DLC.

Random points:
-I don't like the new announcer
-Subspace will be missed by me but hopefully one of the new modes will be a good replacement
-My hype kind of died down after the 3DS version came out but while this stream didn't reveal anything shocking it did revive my hype
-Amiibo's sometimes look really nice quality and sometimes they look terrible I wonder which one will be the one we get...
-The connectivity between the 3DS/Wii U version is not too interesting, expected more. Always been a huge fan of connectivity and its untapped potential. (Mewtwo was announced to be a limited time code promotion [like the music CD] so I'm not counting that)
-Mewtwo was a nice surprise, I wonder how much he'll cost and who else is coming.
-Random and a bit off topic but whatever happened to Kirby's "animal" friends? I kind of liked them and its odd they've just been ignored for so long when they used to be a Kirby staple, you'd think they'd be an assist trophy since Sakurai created them but I'm not sure if they even have a trophy.

I am kind of baffled why its taking all the way till Spring 2015, which is like 5-6 months away for Mewtwo. If it took that long to develop one character the game development would never be finished given we got over 10+ newcomers this game.

My hope is the other rumored characters like Dixie, Impa, playable Ridley are also coming with Mewtwo but they don't want to announce them yet.

The smash run, actually looks good on the Wii U.

The Bowser Jr trailer made me feel like the Kooplings are official fighters, I guess they should be counted. Oh and the ever awesome Alph

Hard to believe Ridley has a full moveset, a player icon, Meta Ridley is basically a Final Smash, you can KO him, and now he's only slightly bigger than a playable character. I'd be really surprised if he doesn't wind up playable via DLC.

I expect Brawl vets like Wolf and Lucas to return, maybe Ice Climbers if the New 3DS can handle them.

I also fully expect Dixie Kong since she was a major part of the leak and she makes a lot of sense
