But if you are in a lower populated area, it can become quite apparent things aren't moving as fast.

I honestly hope it's packed with another small figure because I'd hate to spend $8.99 just for that.
Agreed! Maybe he will come with a freezer that you can put him in :p

Also agreed! Maybe she will be a mail-in or polybag type deal.

Don't think that'll happen though...
AA? What's that?

It's not a walk-in freezer, it's a walking freezer

Doubt Playmates will deviate too much into zany ideas that isn't from the show.

In the episode that they first introduced Ice Cream Kitty I was thinking it was going to be a new take on Mikey getting a cat and naming it Klunk. But it turned out more like if Klunk ate mutagen and turned into a puddle of ice cream and then got a recurring role on the show and its own action figure. The cat made out alright.

It was already a slap in the face selling the turtles in training as 2 2-packs when that should have been sold as 1 package but if ICK gets its own package that is a problem. If it sells at full price that is an issue too. If it is in a regular blister card package it is either going to be a waste of packaging or we have worse scale problems than we thought in this line.

It doesn't look like it. Who knows, they may rerelease Bebop and Rocksteady after the 2k12 versions are on the shelves. It would be sweet to see a Classic Collection Casey Jones and Slash on the pegs for old time's sake. I doubt we'll ever see a Mutagen Man, Baxter Stockman, or Rat King reissue.

Thanks for this! Many of us were wondering if they would be releasing all four Dream Beavers. I'm guessing we won't be getting the other two. Seems like a typical response that none of us could calculate and say whether or not the first two beavers sold well enough.

Yes unfortunately this type of "logic" is common to Playmates.

"we will make a human karai if the mutated karai sells well enough"

--well I guarantee that less people will want the mutated karai. Therefore sales of mutated Karai are not indicative of how well a human Karai would sell.

"we will make the last 2 dream beavers if the 1st two sell well"

--collectors (and some kids) don't want an incomplete set, and many might wait until all 4 are available. Therefore sales of the 1st two might not be indicative of how well the last two would do. Especially since it sounds like Dave will be the most popular.

Like I said before, stuff like that is a Mattel strategy. Look at the train wreck of a he-man line they had recently.

Exactly! I like the way you think!!

On another note, I emailed Playmates asking about more Comic style figures and they said there are no plans as of now but to keep checking the site. So it looks like we won't be seeing more Mirage figs anytime soon. I am surprised that we finally got the four turtles. It would be cool if they would do the TRU exclusive of Casey with a Raph 1 shot or Shredder with issue #10 Silent Partner. Maybe that would help cut the cost for them if that is their concern.

Why was the He Man line a train wreck in your opinion?

Yeah, you mean the MOTU Classics line, that's been running for 6 years and numbers more than 150 figures, plus vehicles & a massive playset?

It's my dream to get a TMNT line that's as in depth, and made with as much care and attention, as MOTU Classics. Sure, it's not perfect (it's Mattel, after all), but it's a hell of a lot better than anything Playmates have ever put out.
