Hmm, could be a possibility but we don't really know RK's fate yet. My guess is that he'll definitely come back in some form, though I think it would be funny if one of the worms DID swallow him up.

And I agree that I would LOVE to see Raph bodyslam Bebop or Rocksteady. That would be awesome.

Yeah Warhorse, nice one. Certainly broke through the allergy haze I've been in all morning.

Watched this one again yesterday and just love those giant rats. I think the first time I'd read something about giant rats was when I picked up the Nightshift anthology about 16 or so years ago. They're repulsive enough when they're normal, so needless to say I'm even more disturbed when they're the size of ponies. I was expecting him to yell,"Nero! Coligula! Pinkie Pie! Attack!" Oh well. Guess 2012 RK isn't a Disney fan either. But ya never know, he might show up again riding a Mickey one of these days. Or just a plain Pinky in homage to everyone's favorite rodent duo as well as a certain voice actor's excellent work.

But Pinky wasn't a rat. I always thought he and The Brain were lab mice. But, yeah, that would be funny to see if it were to happen.

I love the names Rat King got for his pet rats, it just add a extra level of creepy.

Yeah he wasn't. RK did name a rat Mickey in the OT episode Return of The Fly, so I was thinking he'd name another one after a mouse this time around. But This RK, he don't play! Seriously though, the naming rats after Roman rulers-- at least I think they were all Roman, was pretty creepy. I'm with Candy Kappa there.

Now that this forum is getting tidied up, I wanna start posting again. I missed out on this thread. That was a weird, messed up, AMAZING episode. I can't get over this show and episodes like that keep me going. So quirky and dark.

I agree. That episode really seemed to push the envelope IMO. This version of RK is my favorite non turtles character.

I was seriously creeped out when Mikey licked Ick. Like... what if one day he gets a bit over-enthusiastic and licks off more than he intended? The whole concept is just... ugh... *shudder*

I know. And that's why I hope that now that Don has a retro-mutagen, ICK can be cured so Mikey doesn't eat her.

I'm sure ICK will let Mikey know when she's had enough. Cats tend to swat or nip at you when overstimulated by petting. She's shown she knows how to defend herself. I think her melting is a more serious worry than Mikey eating her up ( I hope lol!). And she's in a small freezer, but what can you do? Anyway, from the Pizzaface episode she seems pretty content. I think Mikey licking her was creepy in this episode because the overall tone was so dark. It was definitely weird, but it did make me laugh, lol!!

Second outing of the Rat King is much more solid than the first one. I'd say it was almost 2k3 quality story.

At some point I thought, that maybe Rat King will be present in the episode only through his rats or maybe he somehow saved his consciousness inside Splinter's mind.

I see there is feud in progress between Donatello and Casey. Ice Kitty was disgustingly cute. Action scenes with city attacked by rats were awesome. But of course, the best part was Splinter versus Rat King showdown. It was equal to awesomeness to the his battle with the Shredder at the end of the first season.

I loved how Splinter "blinded" Rat King and what he had used it for. And the absolutely badass scene at the end of the episode "Goodbuy, my king." Rat King has reminded of Grim Reaper for some reason. So far I think it's the most impressive and dangerus incarnation of the character. OT Rat King was a lunatic, but quite thuggish. 2k3 RT was one-note character. But Nick's version certainly stands out.

The show keeps getting better and better. And even fillers doesn't feel really fillerish, like in the first season.
