Welp, those are certainly nightmarey enough...

Takes some good talent right there to be handed beavers and told to make them scary and succeed at it quite well.


Edit: So if these are a spin off of these Terror Bear things or whatever that is/was, then I assume the Care Bear connection I keep thinking of is prob legit? Demon Care Bear Cousins this time?

Yeah, I agree, esp since it gets a little too expected things turn out like that, so more interesting to throw in a curve ball that it doesn't.

Should be more like "Hi, I'm Death, but my friends call me Dave..." Eek. lol

Or Doom, Dismal, Damned/Dammed (heh, it's a beaver).

Aside from the Daves on the technodrome forums and in college, the other ones I've met have been pretty flippin evil, so I think you're onto something!

Interesting on the colors, curious to see if it ties in somehow or if it was just because. What few pics Google finds includes a few of Leo with the purple one, so doubting they'll pair them up by color.

Curious about there being one named "Dark"... What if that starts off something in the back of Raph's mind and connects into later things.

Hope so. This dark Raph stuff has me excited for the latter half of season 2 and I'd love to see a type of sneak peak before too long. Hope his going dark doesn't have something to do with Slash meeting a gruesome fate. He's a cool character and I'd like to see him stick around. Possibly pulling Raph back from the brink or being a part of that.

Why are you writing off episodes as being hopeless before they even air? Understand that you only started binge-watching the series from the beginning recently, so you hadn't gone through what many of us did for the past 2+ years, anticipating episodes week-by-week, bracing for the best/worst, and gotten spot-on in some and surprised in others. But come on, you don't know if they will be good or bad yet, don't lose hope just like that. In fact, some people thought The Croaking was gonna be bad and too cheesy before it aired, and then it turned out awesome.

I am not entirely writing off new episodes just yet. But, it was pretty apparent for me, that quality of the show was in steady decline since Season 2. The last 4 episodes of Season 3 were for the most part meaningless fillers / pop-culture rip-offs, based around the same Mutant of the Week premise, which is definitely not to my liking. If they keep things like that for the rest of the first part of this season it certainly won't improve my opinion about it. And so far there is nothing that could give me hope, that it will happen.

I thought Croaking was cheesy and rushed. I didn't like this episode.

Personally, I don't see how the way I watched series could change my opinion about it. If anything, it would have been probably much worse, if I watched them normally. At least now, I had luxury to immediately wash away aftertaste from bad episodes with good ones, which naturely improved my opinion about the show as the whole.

Now, when I am in the same boat as everyone else, there is no way for me to say "there were some bad episodes this season, but main arc made it worth to sit through", because, I don't know what will happen next. I will judge each episode on its own merit, not as part of a bigger picture, with all consequences it entails.

Fair enough, but let me give you a heads up: anticipate surprises, they do happen when you least expect them (speaking from the experience of eagerly following this series for over a year)
