Its definitely fake. They ripped off the leo sketch pete did in the back of a vol. 4 #32(he posted it on his blog). Dont think would draw the same exact stance lime that. And the sig is way off...

If you look at their past auctions, they scream shenanigans... All the sigs are pretty easy to point out as fake, especially the Trimpe's and Groening's.

Sad thing is this will go for $100+

Thanks for the kind words guys! I'm still on cloud nine that I got it. Next up, gotta get it framed. And yes, that Leo piece is all kinds of wrong!

I sold off a few items to pay for a little something special. An X-mas gift to myself, I guess. I've been on an art buying break that would/will continue for the foreseeable future, but an awesome opportunity came up that I couldn't turn down. Nothing especially impressive to the average art collector I guess, but it's special to me & will fill one of the few blank slots in my collection. Hopefully I'll have it within a few weeks!

Omg that "Laird" sketch is an easy fake. The Sig is all wrong and the turtle is nothing but jagged strokes. Yeah, and that charity **** cracks me up...punkass mo'fo

Punky Poo, that's awesome!!! How big is it? I love the $h!7 out of those airburshed nunchucks, they look so bad ass.

Powder, it sounds like you're getting that was done by multiple artists. Care to elaborate?

Yeah, pretty sure that Laird is fake too.

What makes you think that? I didn't say anything that would suggest that, did I? You're right, but it's weird that you are, 'cause I was pretty vague...
Yeah, it's a shared effort between two artists.

Powder, for some reason I read it as filling up a few slots in your collection...either that or I'm psychic.

Picked these two rad pieces up recently!

This first piece I picked up after reading on Pete's blog that he did some sketches for Steve to sell at Shellback Artworks. A phone call and a week later this showed up at my door. Was blown away on coloring Steve did on it too!

This is a random piece I picked up today. It's a quick sketch Ryan Brown did back in 1988. Unfortunately it's not signed, but the guy I bought it from actually got sketches from all the Mirage crew-members when he met them back in the day and with his story, and seeing his other pieces I knew this was legit. I don't see to many Ryan Brown sketches come up so happy to add this into collection.

Needless to say buying art can get addicting haha

Got 4 pieces from the UK Hero Turtles newspaper strip that appeared in the Daily Mirror in the 90s. Matching the scrawled signature and a bit of internet investigation shows the artist as Martin Griffiths.

If anyone else wants some, there is more of it available on eBay at a reasonable price too.

Closer pics of each at: www.flicker.com/cheesebrush
