Any sort of Japan is fine by me. Or China. One or the other would be cool with me.
Mostly Japan though.

How much you wanna bet on how many TMNT III references that we will see?

They will time travel to the prehistoric past with dinosaurs, ancient Japan, and the future.

You know...like every single TMNT incarnation does.

I should've rephrased it. I feel they used Tigerclaw for one of about four reasons.

Glad someone else saw the Sean Astin/Goonies connection.
I'm still mad I didn't catch it amongst first watching it. lol

If they do time travel to ancient Japan, I'm expecting there to be some TMNT III references. I just wish I remembered enough about TMNT III for me to actually catch anything they may use if they do reference stuff from movie 3...unless the acient Japanese guys started dancing to Tarzan Boy (which is the most memorable part for me for that movie). *Looks at what I just wrote* Hm...pathetic, isn't it? :p

Unless you work on the show, you can't go around stating your opinion as fact. You should've said, "They could time travel to" or "Maybe they will time travel to"... "because every single TMNT incarnation does."

Yeah. But if they do pirates, I'll be happy.

If they do meet a pirate, let's hope he has one eye and that his name is "Willie".

The tip of his blade poked his nose, Mikey flipped over Rahzar and then used his other blade for the killing blow on Rahzar's throat/lower jaw. The way Mikey finished off his opponent might just be my fave out of the four turtles.

Now I completely want Turtles figures wearing pirate garb. Someone make it happen, I don't even care if it's a filler.

I really liked this episode. The deer had an awesome design, as were the Turtles' new outfits.

Not sure why anyone would think that Leo's leg injury was all in his mind, but okay. Sure.

I'm always late for these things.

Awesome episode. What can I say that hasn't already been said?

Glad I wasn't the only one who spotted the Goonies reference.
"Turtles never say "die"!"

Finally, finally we can get back to NYC and see the Turtles kick some Krang/Shredder & Foot Clan butt!

So, just rewatched this ep. As pointed out, Mikey's kill on Rahzar was kind of brutal. Did look like he sliced his throat (but we all know Mikey has a dark side. ). Anyway, seems that Mikey and Raph were the only ones who literally "killed" their spiritual bosses. Leo and Donnie really didn't, when you think about it. As mentioned before, Donnie just knocked Tigerclaw off the mountain, no poof...and he does have a rocket on his back. Leo injured Shredder and he went away.

Wonder if that's foreshadowing something...or giving some insight into the characters.

Because when he wasn't thinking about his leg or focusing on it, he was fine. The last episode and the Dream Beaver ep showed that. Whenever he felt discomfort, his confidence seemed to falter and drop, meaning that maybe he was making a bigger deal out of his leg than what it was. Yes, he does have the physical injury, but his lack of confidence wasn't helping it either, meaning that part of it was in his mind and he had to conquer that. "Mind over matter". The mind is a very strong thing.

Personally, I felt that this episode and spirit quest was more for Leo's sake than for the other three. Leo needed to get his confidence back.

Leo did shoot Shredder in the eye, which could be considered fatal since the brain lays right behind it (hence why they used to complete lobotomies by finagling an ice pick through the eye socket *shudders*). It actually makes me wonder if they're foreshadowing that Shredder is going to be defeated in some sort of unconventional manner.

Could be onto something. I also find it ironic that Leo shot Shredder in his bad eye.

it could be foreshadowing that leo "opens" up wounds of the past and shredder sets his eyes on raph like he did w/ karai

You might wanna watch that scene again. Mikey practically jabs his blade into the side of Rahzar's head and rips it open.

Lol I didn't even notice it myself the first time watching it. I just couldn't believe they got away with a close-up impalement!
