Thanks for the information. That sounds good. New TMNT action figures for Summer is always fun. I like to see the pictures of the action figures at San Diego Comic Convention.

I don't want to be mean to Playmates, but I feel like we should tell them that we will not buy their products in such bad quality. We shouldn't be doing the work for them. Just saying the same clichés is getting absolutely annoying. Yes, we know that the prototype never ends up as the store product, but that shouldn't stop them from giving a damn.

Seriously. It may take a few years until a real company makes better 2k12 TMNT toys. I'm just hoping it's a company that cares for detail and playability at the same time.

I think the revoltech 2k12 turtles is your answer.

Anyways yeah I've been rather disappointed with Playmates since last year. The drop in quality is very noticeable.

You're welcome. It would be nicer if they came out a lot sooner.

The way the 90's muck man was loaded with detail I fear the new one will be nowhere close. If they even sculpted the garbage detail on the new one I doubt it will be anything more than just solid green.

The new Muckman looks anorexic. I wonder if Playmates will keep his pal, Joe Eyeball. I doubt it, we'll probably just get his Muck Gun and that's it.

Aww Joe Eyeball. We could only be so lucky !

It is amazing that the figures went from what they did to this, I understand cost savings etc..blah blah blah.. However, I still collect the new figures and will continue to buy them but it is disappointing to see the craftsmanship of today's standards. While I was born in the 80's it is sad to say "Back in my day..." the toys were made to last, seems like every generation says this ha!

This new line of figures I compare to (quality) my Captain Power figure(s). If y'all remember them not as good as GI Joe's but "tried."

Joe Eyeball is still around, but he's literally just a sentient eyeball now. I think he's actually one of Muckman's eyes that can pop out of the socket & go exploring.

How could I forget Captain Power from the age (Reagan's second term) of Lazer Tag and The Visionaries?
Do you know if the Captain Power PowerJet X-T7 worked with the interactive video tapes? These toys were ahead of their time, but every child wanted a Nintendo around that time. The packaging for Captain Power did not look too different from other toys out at that time. Kenner' The Real Ghostbusters toyline was the best one of that time period. The card art for Captain Power wasn't much different from ones for the Tigersharks, Bionic Six or the Silverhawks. Mattel's Captain Power action figures were not on the level of Hasbro's G.I. Joe figures at all, IMHO. As far as I know, the fan base for G.I. Joe is massive. Captain Power went the way of Bravestarr and it doesn't look like he's ever coming back.

It's safe to say the original toyline still pulverizes the new one.

Yeah that is kinda what I am getting at the original TMNT figures were far superior to today's figures. That was my example Captain Power - GI Joe. Just looking the the figures you can see the difference, put them in your hand and try and pose them haha! you get the point. But I do have an unopened Captain Power figure so I got that going for me

I wonder how much anything from the Captain Power line goes for. The only thing this toyline is known for is showing up in the first Child's Play movie from '88.

Have you ever owned a Captain Power Powerjet X-T7? Do you know if the Captain Power PowerJet X-T7 worked with the interactive video tapes? I heard they did not from one source already. I'd like. The Powerjet X-T7 to The Power Glove.

I am guessing the gang will go visiting Tromaville (or New Jersey) for Muckman.

I still have yet to see a Bebop or Rocksteady. Walmarts and Targets have only recently restocked since before Thanksgiving, and only with Mutation figures, whereas 3 Toys R Us's near me have 0 standard figures, and have reduced the size of the their TMNT displays.

Yes, and yes they did work with the VHS, you could do the trainings.

Cool, I have always wondered if they were compatible with the special videos. You're the only person I have ever heard say that it worked. Mattel was ahead of its time with the Captain Power line. I think it was overshadowed by the G.I. Joe Battle-force 2000 stuff.
