Quite. Though it didn't help that his first episode focused a lot on him since he was new. Will be interesting to see how this new Bebop is played off.

Don't know of this has already been said or not, but I am not sure how I feel about the elements of the OT taking over. The party wagon and Bebop and Rocksteady and the fly Baxter Stockman. They used to have the OT stuff as cameos and such, but now it feels like it's taking over. I would love to see B and R do away with Fishface and Bradford though. Those guys are just old hat.

Hopefully less irritating. I'd hate to find a character based on an original 80s character irritating.

I'm hoping he doesn't help to even the odds much, because that would show that B&R are already getting severely nerfed. I didn't care for Mondo Gecko as much because of how he looked and acted, but I'm hoping this version is better. Plus I'm hoping he's a mutated gecko instead of a human, we don't have enough mutated animals besides the Turtles and ICK.

The season premiere started in October last year, it makes sense for half the season to air in the first 6 months and the other half in the remaining 6 months. October + 6 months = April so... yeah

I'm wondering if that happens, if 13/14 is the end of the Kraang? It would definitely fit the pattern, and it might be when we see Karai (and the city) get turned back to normal.

I don't think I'll mind mind Bebop and Rocksteady as long as they don't act much like their 80's and IDW counterparts, I'd hate to see Nick Bebop utter 'Toitles' or act so insanely stupid it's infuriating. Or to see Rocksteady have that plaintive dumb look whenever he was upset or walk into things, as that's when I will start hating them. But it looks like all three will rebel against Shredder sometime in the future, so that alone makes them loads different then the OT guys.

But the last bit though, if you feel the OT is taking over, why would you want B&R do away with Bradford and Xever? Wouldn't that just make it even more like the OT with just those two left?

But other then that I agree. I don't want any more visits by the OT Turtles, and I'm already cringing knowing that there will very likely be a Turtles Forever-like cameo by them again in the future. I wanted this show to prove that it can stand on it's on without it, but it looks like the produces don't share that confidence, and think they have to heavily rip off chunks of the OT just to make it a 'success.' Don't get me wrong, I like the OT, but I don't want to see an emulating of it to this degree if it isn't in a show that's not explicitly considered to be a reboot of it.

Ok, so first off, that kinda old Hob cameo was just pure win, even if it was a one off kinda thing. But the scar, the one eye, sooooo old hob.

Secondly, I heard from someone on tumblr that apparently there's a high def image of Karai's human form revealed in this episode out there somewhere, but I asked if they could pass me a link and they never responded.

So, has anyone here by chance seen it?

I'd love to see Xever pull away from the Foot and go off on his own or possibly returning to the Purple Dragons. That would be neat.

As for the break, if they air eps in March, then it won't be too long of a break since February is a short month anyway.

I liked this episode. Lots of cool stuff.

No sidekicks. Just the mean green team kicking butt.

The fight on the docks was great. I'm really starting to like Leo in this series. He is the best fighter in the group and will be the one that takes Shredder out. He had no fear.

The purposeful mutation of Bebop and Rocksteady. I think these two will be the toughest enemies short of Tiger Claw. They proved they can be a threat in human form so I am interested to see how they change or improve in mutant form.

Yeah, I think Bebop and Rocksteady will prove to be a great threat to the Turtles, and I definitely can't wait to see how this is achieved. Should be interesting.

And I agree that not having April and Casey there was refreshing. It was nice seeing just the Turtles fighting for once.

But the Shredder hasn't called any of his hinch mutants by their nicknames. Stockman is the only person in the Foot Clan to call Rahzar by his nickname.

Sorry to resurrect this thread but, I totally called it that Mikey would give the new Bebop & Rocksteady their names; not Shredder or Stockman. People here gave very detailed explanations as to why either of them should name them, but it was always gonna be Mikey. C'mon!

So....resurrected a thread about The episode BEFORE Bebop and Rocksteady's Debut, only to say for the 3RD TIME that you were right about something I'm sure others could also claim they "called"???

Second time. Just making sure people see it, that's all. I got no response in the other thread.

And read the rest of this thread, people were constantly speculating that Shredder or Stockman were gonna name Bebop & Rocksteady, which was ridiculous. The show's formula is that Mikey names the mutants, unless one of the other Turtles beats him to it.

Also, Serpent Hunt WAS their debut - at the very end!

You aren't the only one who thought this, though. I know I said it too someplace, that Mikey will probably name them, but was curious as to how. I had no theories for that. It wouldn't have made sense for Shredder to name them since he calls all of his henchmutants by their actual names (other than Tigerclaw) despite their having mutant names.
