After Sunday's new hour long episode, I have to wonder what ever happened to the blue ape like Krang suit with butt cannons? I am almost certain I saw a picture of that figure prototype somewhere and yet at NY Toy Fair it wasn't shown off....what gives?

The source is that it was supposed to come out like a year ago, & didn't. Safe assumption. & it has appeared in season 3, so the "character" is still current & in use.

I like the individual turtle card art, but I'd only wanna keep the wave 1 re-issues on card for that reason. The variants like this oughtta be played with.

I love keeping stuff in packs. However, special feature figures: gotta get em loose.
I must admit that I've played with all the special feature figures. And girlfriend likes to attack me with the two talking stretchy arm turtles. She never gets tired of the loooooong phrassssssses !!!

I really hate how Amazon uses the Prototype fully painted pics as the product shot for turtle figures. I have to write reviews to warn people what paint is missing.

I am surprised collectors haven't tried to sue playmates before.

That's SOP in the toy marketing world. Hence why you get stuff like "details may vary from package picture" on the cards, lets the manufacturers cover their arse.

I see the Turtle Blimp is starting to go on clearance in TRU stores around me.

I'm guessing either that no one wants to pay $30 for a large balloon...or no one wants an inaccurate to the show toy maybe.

I was thinking of buying one, but upon seeing the Blimp in the show...it looks nothing like it at all.

The Party Wagon may not be entirely accurate to the show's version due to Playmates laziness, but at least it still looks CLOSE.

It was disappointing to see the blimp was different. Still, I like it and have it hanging above the lair play set. I'd still like to get hold if the original blimp. Always liked it in the show.
The new van, I do like the look of the playmates version. Mine is expected to arrive next week. Like the blimp, I never found one here, so I had to order one in from the U.S.

It's probably inaccurate because of the same reasons the series 1 turtles were. It's likely taken from older concept art, same as how Dogpound was wearing a harness on his toy, how the Kraang android had four arms (they just removed two before shipping and left the balljoints there) and with Shredder's armour. I personally didn't buy it when it first came out and I won't now I see how inaccurate it is. Well, that is unless Donnie remakes the blimp like the toy version.
