If there must be love interests and female characters have to be made out to be one that's what I wish to kinda see...let the girl have the interest first. And, I dunno, let Raph be oblivious, resistant or whatnot to her affections, at least for a while, it might be an entertaining reversal for a change.

Really think iguana lady is someone different though. If they've decided it's their version of Mona Lisa I'll be a little disappointed that's the direction they went. Unless the photo is not supposed to be a typical representation of the character in it, I suppose.

Or something like this, The Turtles come back home, And suddenly, Mona Lisa gives Raph a kiss on the cheek, and the other Turtles are like. WTF?

If it does happen, this is the type of thing I'd want it to turn out like. Or you could also possibly have them initially be totally indifferent to each other, or go the cliched way of having them actually dislike each other, then slowly grow to like each other. As long as it's not a repeat of what we've been having so far in terms of love interests. The more I think about it, the more I'd want their relationship to actually work out.

Yeah, I personally doubt she's Mona Lisa, seems way too old, but more of a nod to Mona Lisa. I do like the reason some people have given, that she's the one who's given Kurtzman a lot of info on Kraang and worked with him.

The hands definitely look iguana though imo. Those are some creepy hands... Wonder if she could change color, that would be pretty awesome; if she's a fighter, imagine the shadowy ambushing possibilities. Or helpful in sneaking around and gathering info on enemies, just blend in and eavesdrop.

Right?! Well, that hasn't happened yet so we can't assume. But as I said before I would love the next girl to be the one that's really into one of the turtles. And yes, I can see if it was Raph that he'd be oblivious for a long time. That would be cute, actually.

I didn't think iguana lady was Mona Lisa at all. Yes, she was older for sure and clearly Kurtzman's fling.

Oh I didn't take that as anything but a one off gag. I think people dwelled more into because it's fun to fantasize about how the cool sexy mutant lady would be if she could be a character in the show. And I don't blame them. This show just doesn't have much going for it in terms of female characters so people who want that are kind of left to fantasy.

I see Raph as the type who cares a lot, but doesn't want it to be known he cares and denies it, but ends up being crazy overprotective or snaps into super bad ass mode in a situation where his crush/beloved/whatever would be in danger... something like that.

I never got the joke behind the gif you have there. It's not like Raph broke off a real guy's arm. They can all clearly see it's s friggin robot.

I never took it as he was twisted for ripping off a robot arm as much as thinking to barricade the door with it. *shrugs* I still like it, one of my favorite Raph moments. It was pretty early on in the series, I think it was just the second episode so they probably weren't quite as use to improvising in combat as they are now. Still testing the waters for that target "children's" audience.

I remember the scene personally as that "Yup... Raph's gonna probably be my favorite in this version of the series."
