From one extreme to the other.
The 'Fred Wolf' set are missing no pint apps at all.
The colored pads are painted and not preformed in the appropriate colors.
Eyes look good, but.....
The belt insignia are just simple stickers . A small bug bare.
Overall I am pleased with them.
Here are the repainted And rebranded turtles with the 'repainted' and rebranded van.

Aw man, those belts are so bad, talk about lazy. Not quite the OT with the wraps and 3 toes either. Just another cash grab.

But there is a slight silver lining, the heads which look pretty decent are interchangeable so at least you can have 2 different heads on a 1st wave figure...sorta. Let's just hope the paint on the 'Fred Wolf head' isn't too different from the paint on the '1st wave body'.

Skin tones look the same to me, as do the heads, but with different eyes.

Cool, good to know, thanks man! Maybe I'll fork out the 50 or so dollars for all 4 of them just to change their heads once in a while. All I have to do now is find a solid paint job of each of their faces...

The "Fred Wolf" turtles are kind of a strange decision to make, like couldn't they have liked not made them and used that budget on paint for the Mystics?!

It would be funny if these Fred Wolf figures happened on the new show, like the LARP turtles.

Jeez, Playmates are not good at paining eyes on the Turtles. They look like they are intensely staring at something or did some drugs.

That Party Wagon looks mightily impressive.
For the paint apps and sticker details, i think PM have actually done a decent job.
Obviously the front bumper will need some attention but i can live without it too.
Cannot wait for these to hit the UK

I hear his bike turns into a plane, or like a jet pack. Hey Don, you're so smart, why don't we have jet packs?

Yeah, that's good, Mikey. I don't even trust you with a driver's license.

I like the toes on the wave 1 turtles but I wish that for these versions they used nick-accurate feet.

stickers on the belts seems like a bad idea... especially on raph's belt where it looks VERY out of place

Didn't see anything posted about it but, I just got home from Target and they have all of the figures BOGO 50% off bringing them down to $6.74. Plus my 5% discount with my RedCard knocking another $0.34 off making them $6.40 a piece. So naturally I picked up 18.

I also managed to grab four figures from CVS on sale for 7.99 marked down from their normal 12.99. I repeat 12.99!!! Crazy.

Sounds like a good deal.
I got a good news-bad news email just now.
Good news. The 6 figures from the next wave have arrived. Bad news. They are at my office, and I'm SUPPOSED to be on holiday. So I will just have to go in for these, and no doubt spend a few hours plugging holes in a program I wanted to leave behind for a week!
I'll put pics of the two frogs (Napoleon and Attilla), Monkey Brains, the two Beavers and a certain Mikey tonight if anyone wants to see them.

Pixel Dan has said in his review of Mikey Turflytle that it appears it's the same sculpt as the battle shell Mikey except for the shell.

Does anyone who owns this already (or anyone else for that matter) care to comment on this being the case?

Some comparisons:

Spoiler:

I thought the eyes might be different or even the whole bandanna.

Whatever the case it's most likely the exact same sculpt we'll be getting for Savage Mikey sans accessories.

Spoiler:

edit: I just wanted to clarify I'm not criticising the apparent reuse of the same sculpt, actually I think it's smart and playmates should do it way more on these types of figures to save on costs which could be better spent on paint details.

Thank you for your sacrifice. Hopefully you will just get the figures. Make a quick getaway Mission Impossible style. Looking forward to the pictures.

So, 11 figures coming up pretty fast, unless the Karai mutated figure nobody actually wanted is being held off for another year, then it will be just 10. Looks like Playmates way of saying they are never going to release a regular Karai because the snake version didn't sell very well. "Sir, you have to actually release the toy to the masses for it to be counted as a loss."

"And Australia doesn't count"

Yes, it is basically the same figure with no holsters for the chucks and unpainted bandages. Now I want a season 1 finale Battle Vest Raph. Eventually I could see an anti-gravity glove Don.

I'll take a side by side pic in a few minutes.
In mean time, another Mikey.
These are in 'test' packs, so no, they aren't rare mid packaged figures. I do like the blank cards used for the Beavers. Might keep them like that.
I like all six of these dudes, even the tongue flicking Attilla!!

Mikey

Monkey Brains
