It's really fascinating to me how people can swear off the show and still hang out and post in the section dedicated to said show. Criticisms are one thing, but this is a whole other level.

I liked this episode because the Karai plot move forward A BIT, even though I wish she wasn't "lost" again. Otherwise not bad, not great.

With the Triceraton thing in the 2k3 it was implied that the probe helmet would painfully scan the brain of it's for any info on the Fugatoid, and once scan was complete it would microwave the brain killing them instantly.

This oddly enough is the same premise of a fanfic I started writing a couple months ago. It my fic all the turtles are captured and put in separate cells and there is only a one way audio feed between cells.

So Leo can only hear Donnie,
Mikey can only hear Leo
Raph can only hear Mikey
and Donnie can only hear Raph.

In the fic Shredder and Karai were intending to torture Leo by having him know his brothers are suffering and being unable to truly know what is happening to his bros and worse being unable to do anything about it.

I've been reading that story

My favourite fanfics at the moment is Hurt but not Broken and Protect Whats Hurt, so many feels.

First off, Cure, I actually I haven't posted on here (here meaning Anywhere on the Turtles Forum) in months.

Second off, I wasn't talking to you. I was talking & agreeing with Aaronardo (but you had to butt in and throw that little 'snide' against me, even though I didn't do anything to you).

And third, like I said...I only come on here to chat with folks. When I do, then yes I take a quick view of the threads (general, movie, comics, etc.) to see what's up.

What Aaronardo typed struck me as 'ah yes, I'm reminded as to why I did give up on that show'. Which is the point of threads, to engage in conversation.

If this is directed towards me (the only criticism I remember reading on this thread), realize that I very much enjoy most other aspects of the show. I could go on and on about how I love this reimagining of the Shredder/Splinter plot, and how Leo's character arc is phenomenal. I even like this incarnation of Raph quite a bit, particularly in the first season. I just don't like how he's handled, particularly in Season 3. To me, it's one negative to an overall great episode, but I felt like I need to express my opinions on the character. No harm in that.

In pretty much every example you stated other turtles needed to be saved too. Raph isn't useless and a puss he's just under used.. But if you want to dislike this version of Raph than that's fine , I can't nor do I want to force you to conform to my opinion.

Sounds like a Certain Movie section on the forums. Its just annoying when the butthurt "Raph fans" come here and whine every other episode.

Well, for what I read about the season's finale, I knew Karai had to appear in another episode. It's really sad what she did to her real family, but at least she's now free. I suspected the "healing technique" would be the key for it, considering it debuted the same episode that Karai was brainwashed. Too bad she won't be present in anymore episodes of this season. At least, now she's free from the mind control and she has her mutation under control too.

I wish for her to return in the next season, when the turtles are back from their space adventure.

Awesome episode. Reminded me of the Pretty Little Liars episode "Welcome to the Dollhouse" and incidentally a fan fic I'm currently writing that's an homage of said PLL episode.

Anyway, it was great. Loved the arguing between Leo and Donnie as Donnie is under a lot of pressure to rescue Karai and is frustrated. I understand Leo's concerns, but he shouldn't have snapped at Donnie like that. Loved how he came to the conclusion that the Healing Hands would work on Karai. I loved all of the traps and how Mikey imagined himself as a female Turtle. I see that as both a nod to Venus and that the crew might have been reading a few female TMNT fan fics which are prevalent in the fandom.

Also liked all of the baddies getting in on this one and the OT reference with Mikey's trap. ICK playing cards with Mikey was cute, too. I do like how Splinter really shone in this one and how he did save Karai with the healing hands. She may still be able to shift into her snake form, but at least she's not controlled by Shredder anymore unless that helmet did something to keep her under his control.

As for why the Healing Hands didn't help Donnie, Splinter probably figured he wouldn't be able to get Donnie to stay still long enough to perform it on him, so that's why he didn't even bother. With this one, he was able to do it because he fought his daughter though he was reluctant to. My heart fell when he cried out for her as she got sucked in the drain. And I did like how he said he had four wonderful sons meaning that he feels that though he doesn't have his daughter, he still has four sons to think about. And I loved what Leo said about not giving up hope. I have a feeling things will work out with Karai soon. Overall a good episode. Bring on the next one.

Yeah, with Splinter saying in the beginning how a team must think as one, I was sorta expecting all four turtles to be involved in the breakout. Breaking free of the traps didn't seem to be the main point of the episode, so no biggie if that got less attention that I thought it would, especially if it means we get somewhere with Karai's plotline.

ICK was great. I loved the argument in the beginning and how Donnie was really feeling the stress. And I'm glad it was Splinter who was the one to free Karai from the brain worm, as opposed to Donnie or Leo.

After all we had that one moment in Attack of the Mega Shredder when Shredder is having those additional mind worms plugged into her brain. So she obviously will see the Mind Worm as reason to hate Shredder, but she will also still see the Turtles and Splinter as the Enemy as well.

You know there was a concept art of Karai in her snake appearance that had the word "Kiba" on it. Maybe in order to intercept those remaining brain worms, she takes up a new persona. One that is not associated by her tragic past (Miwa) or by Shredder (Karai) but one that stands as of her own person.

I just really want that character arc of her trying to adjust her new life with the turtles and Splinter. Especially Splinter, since that relationship would probably be the most strain out of them all with having such stark opposite outlooks on life thus symbolizing the uneasiness of their relationship with her being a snake and him a rat.

Probably just me though.

I agree, how they handle Raph is annoying cause they make him so weak and useless. The problem is that Nick is still poorly handling Raph's character. You think they would take criticism and make Raph's character better but not. Instead we get "Mikey is better and Donny is better as well...who is Raph again?"

I bet you that free brain worm is going to target Leo too and its gonna be a "all-about Leo" season finale. I am so tired of Leo, I liked him when he was humble and had weaknesses but now it seems the whole world breaks laws and physics to make Leo superior again.

ANYWAY.

Anyone else notice that the wires in Donnie's helmet were the turtles' mask colours?

Red, orange, blue and purple. That colour combination always makes me smile.

And, as a Raph fan, I liked this episode and I liked Raph in it.
